I look up from switching the radio channels as I watch Alastor move on to the kitchen. I follow him into the kitchen watching him prepare something.

Y/n
"What's cooking good-looking?"

I asked a question that I already kinda knew the answer to. He loves making Jambalaya because the recipe belonged to his mother. It's cute that he knows how to cook but given the situation that he did live alone of course he does.

Alastor
"Jambalaya!"

I smile admiring his prepping and the love for his mother. My parents were good for nothing so I don't know anything about parental love. I believe his mother was a good person and parent that loved her child very much.

Y/n
"Can I help with anything? I feel weird just watching"

Alastor
"The preparations are almost done, dear"

Y/n
"What drink goes good with jambalaya?"

Alastor
"Sazerac is a great native pairing with jambalaya"

Y/n
"Then I will go to the store to purchase some"

I can't take my eyes off him, he's just so mesmerizing. From the way he slices the peppers to the way he hums a song.

Alastor
"Dear"

Y/n
"Yes?"

Alastor
"The Sazerac"

Y/n
"Oops, I almost forgot. Ace wanna go get some Sazerac with me?"

Husk
"Are you shittin' me?"

Y/n
"Hehe nope, get ready"

Husk
"Fine"

Y/n
"You have a soft spot for me, you can't deny it"

Husk
"What the fuck?"

I teasingly wink at him while he's putting on his shoes. He ignores me while he put his leather jacket on. I go upstairs to put on something presentable. I run down the stairs like a kid at a candy shop.

Y/n
"Shadow, do you wanna go on a walk with mommy and uncle Ace?"

I squat down to Shadow's level while I talk to him. I pet Shadow behind his ears and give him a little peck on top of his head.

Husk
"Uncle!? When the hell did I agree to this?"

Y/n
"You didn't have to"

I stand up to stick my tongue out at Husk then turn my attention back at Shadow. I see him circling around Alastor's feet, so adorable.

Y/n
"You wanna stay with daddy, Shadow?"

Shadow purrs, rubbing his head against Alastor's leg.

Y/n
"Take care of Shadow while I'm out"

Alastor
"Of course I will, Dear"
