As she finished her final class of the day before Spring Break, Nao packed her backpack and started on her walk home. She scanned the usual surroundings, the corner store, the rows of houses in the distance, and various other shops and stores.

She continued down the sidewalk, with gray asphalt on the right, and flowery bushes and trees from the park on the left. Then she stopped. Nao could hear someone singing. A girl. It was quiet at first, but the closer she listened, the better she could hear her voice. She sang with passion, and her voice seemed to draw Nao towards her. Almost like a siren, pulling her in. But sirens are bad, and this certainly wasn't, it was the opposite. It was beautiful.

Before she knew it, Nao's head was pressed against the tall flower bush in front of her. She must've been leaning completely on the bush with all of her pressure on it, because she suddenly fell through the bush, face-first into the dirt behind it.

Ouch. But the dirt wasn't the only thing behind that bush.

"Hey you okay?" a voice said. No, it wasn't just a voice. It was her voice.

Nao quickly stood up, now partially unaware of the many scratches on her legs from the bush. She turned to her left, and there on the bench next to her sat the girl, who was visibly startled. Why wouldn't she be, a complete stranger just crashed through a bush right in front of her. But her expression also had a bit of concern painted on it.

"Y-yeah!" Nao said back nervously. She felt her face getting warmer and tears welling up a bit as she blushed with embarrassment. Luckily there was a nearby exit, so Nao quickly left the park and tried to get to her apartment as fast as she could, eyes blurry and a few tears streaking down her face while doing so.

By the time she got there, the tears had stopped. Nao opened the door and when it closed, she immediately slid against it down to the wood floor.

God that was so embarrassing. I can't believe that happened did I really just do th-

Nao suddenly felt a stinging pain in her legs.

Oh right, I hurt myself pretty bad back there, didn't I?

She walked to the bathroom and looked in the mirror, There was dirt all over her face, and leaves stuck in her hair.

"Wow, I look worse than thought! I'm a damn mess!" Nao laughed to herself, feeling a bit better.

She took a washcloth from the cabinet, wiped off the dirt and blood from her skin, and picked out all the leaves in her hair. She went to her closet to change her clothes too, as they were covered in dirt as well. She falls into her bed in her cozy pajamas, and looks out the nearby window at the pretty sunset.

Who was that girl just now? Reko didn't really get a good look at her since she left so quickly. All she could really remember was her long pink hair. Why had she fallen through the bush anyway? She left in such a hurry and so frantically, that Reko wondered if she had done something wrong. Maybe she intimidated her? She didn't know, but she did know that she kinda wanted to see her again and get to know her. Reko wondered if she felt the same way. Well, she'll know next time she sees her, if that ever happens.

Reko looked down at her lap, her notebook was sitting there, full of songs, some finished, most not. She really should be going now, after all, as it was getting kinda dark now. Reko closed her notebook and headed to the parking lot where her car was. She got in and drove away from the park. When Reko stopped at a light, she stopped to look at the sunset in front of her, the top was a pink tone, like that girl's hair, and she smiled as she drove away.
