I've never seen my sister run so fast. Ever. I'm barely out of the gate when I'm tackled by a very nimble, very blonde woman.

"Jeez Louise." I cough and stumble back, hitting a poor man who scowled down at us. He looked on edge.

Maybe a quick fuck could take that edge away. I thought, snickering to myself.

"Care-Bear! Its been forever!" Lara god damn near chokes me, her arms are wrapped around my neck so tight.

"Lara, it has been a while. Would have seen you at Easter but you were a little busy giving birth. Where is Charlie anyway?" Tugging harshly at the arms wrapped around my neck, she eventually let's go of me.

"My gorgeous little boy is in the truck with his dad. He fell asleep on the way here, darling wee thing." I smile fakely at her gushing over her child. I mean, I'm sure he is as cute as a button but I just am not good with kids at all.

And then there's Buck. Her fiancee. Now, the subject of Buck is the only thing my mother and I agree on. I hate him. He's a bitch ass pussy. Okay, and I'm not judging, she can date whoever she wants but I wished it wasn't him.

My family is very... kiwi. Dad, my brothers and my cousins always play backyard cricket. I'm the only girl that plays because my Dad wanted a boy for his youngest. But it was me. So I did all the things the boys did while Lara and Jessi, my other sister, hung out at home with mum. And I didn't mind. But all the guys usually play. Last year when Lars brought home Buck for the first time, he sat out.

That's fine and all, but he was rude to Dad about it. Said something about cricket being boring and a stupid way to spend Christmas. I near walloped him with the cricket bat but Scott said it wasn't the brightest idea to hit your sisters fiancee over the head with a hunk of wood.

Mum and I stood in the kitchen for a solid ten minutes shit talking him. Safe to say, we bonded over the fact we didn't like the city slicker. And then was the fact that he stayed in a hotel instead of on the farm. Dad and Mitch, other brother, found that disrespectful since everyone stayed at the farmhouse. There were roughly thirteen of us all together.

Mitch, Scott, Lara, Jessi and me are Mum and Dad's kids. Then Oli, Elijah, and Dominic are Aunty Ellie's and Uncle Andrew's. Oli had brought his boyfriend, Nick, as well. Which made 13. We're a really close family. All my cousins and siblings are all the same age roughly.

But anyway, I don't like the dude.

"...and then we could get our hair done, like we did on the city trips with mum. Remember?" Lara pokes me, bringing me out of my internal rant. I nod along, as if I was actually listening and not verbally abusing her husbad-to-be in my head.

The baggage claim looms in front of us and I stare at, half listening to my sister, as I wait for my bad to come round. My duffel is already slung over my shoulder since it was my carry-on. Now we just need me actual suitcase before we can go. Coming round the corner I see my sea green case with a purple handle tied to the handle.

Once it spins in front of me, I pull it off the claim, wheeling it beside me. Lara has stopped talking for now and I jump at the chance to talk.

"How's Jess? She came up before me, right?" We walk towards the automatic doors and out into a cool breeze.

Me, mum and Jess had come up at different times to help Lara. She started to struggle with everything when Buck went back to work three months ago. She has her own business, altering and making clothes. Lars is a really good seamstress and she makes good money doing it but she can't watch the baby and work all at once. So we come up, help out until she can get a nanny.
