Chapter 1

-y/n's POV-

As I got to platform 9 3/4 for the final time, I said my goodbyes to my parents and hugged them one last time before heading onto the train.

I was checking in every compartment until I found the one that Jen is in. Jen and I have been friends since our first year when we met in the library. Once I saw my her sitting in one of the compartments waiting for me with a big smile on her face, I sat down opposite to her just staring at each other before we started to talk.

''Hello Jenna'' I asked with a smile plastered on my face.

''Hello y/n, how was your holiday?'' she answered quite abruptly.

''it was actually quite interesting, we went to so many different places. Oh how I wish you were there with me.'' I said enthusiastically.

''well mine was great too.'' she snared

''Oh, yeah sorry Jen, let me get you something from the trolley.'' I got up when the sweet old lady said  ''anything from the troll dears''

"yes, just a packet of Drew balls and what do you want Jen?'' I turned around to face her.

''just a liquorish wand please'' she said while giving someone behind me a disgusted look.

I turn around and of course it had to be him, the biggest tormenter in this whole damn school. We just stared at each other for a little before the old lady broke the tension. 

''anything from the trolley young man?'' she asked so kind heartedly.

''no," he sneered "now move out of my way!'' he said with disgust in his eyes.

I stared at him for a little while,' how could you say that to such a sweet old lady' I thought to myself. I saw her starting to backway with a scared look on her face which made me so mad.

'' Malfoy! didn't mummy ever tell you to respect your superiors? Oh yeah, your dad had to beat it into you, but I guess that didn't work either'' I sneered 

''Merlin y/l, calm down are you on your period or something'' he question with his goons snickering behind him.

''you are an arse, Malfoy.'' I sneered 

He gave me one of his smirks and walked away.

"Sit down y/n, we should probably get changed into our robes, we will be arriving soon.'' Jen said with worry in her voice. She was honestly my best friend and I could trust her with anything and everything.

Although she is a Ravenclaw and can only see her in the library, we eat or if we have class together. She is so smart and loves reading. I'm not supposed to be friends with her because I am A Slytherin and it is not right but I don't care, I love her to bits.  

''yes that is a good idea and it will get my mind off of that twit Malfoy.'' I said with rage in my voice.

When we got to Hogwarts we put our stuff in our rooms and walked to the dining hall for dinner. We welcomed the new Slytherins with loud cheers.

Professor McGonigal  announced the prefects for the houses then the heads of house. Once they hot to Slytherin I was quite surprised they announced the head girl for Slytherin.

"The head girl for Slytherin is...y/n y/l"

I got up from my seat and stalked over to the front of the hall, I couldn't tell if I was excited or overwhelmed as I took my badge with shaky hands.

I was standing there in surprise and disbelief  waiting for the head boy to be called out, when they announced who it was, my heart sank.

Of course, it had to be him, I had to work with him for the rest of the year and stay in the same dormitory as him, in the 'heads only dorm'. No this cant be happening, not to me; no!

''I am pleased to announce that the new head boy for Slytherin is, Draco Malfoy.''
