2 mouths later after the incident and Casey has returned to the firehouse to continue working
He goes into the kitchen and gets attacked by firehouse 51 even boden. After the reunion they go to role call and Boden has an announcement
Boden: I will be out for half the shift you will get a temporary new chief be respectful to him
Everybody: yes chief
Boden:I will get going this is chief Mullins
Mullins:thank you chief
chief boden leaves and then mullins says- ok assignments clean out the outside compartments on the truck
casey and severide looks at each other and start mouthing something to each other
Mullins-is there a problem
casey-no sir,but we usually just do the smaller ones and clean them out so...
Mullins-but is it every other day no so we are clean out every compartment he said cutting off casey
casey closes his mouth it was his first day back and he already got an eye on him
they all walk out and severide stops casey and says "you ok you where shut down over there"
casey- ya i'm fine
severide-ok now lets go get cleaning the tucks
casey laughs and walks away
they were cleaning up and they get a call
they come back from the call and casey and severide are called into bodens office but to see mullins
mullins:ok so i pulled you guys in here because i want to talk about last call
severide: what up about last call
the last call was a husband and wife go into an accident in a store lot and casey thinks that the husband abuses her by the way he acts and the bruises that she had on her neck and sides that he knew were not from the accident
casey: I had no intention of getting personal i just want to know if the the wife was ok
severide looks over and gives a confused look at casey. severide was not at the call
Severide: what's going on Casey
Casey: explains what happened
mullins: i have an eye on you you can leave
they leave the office and casey goes to his quarters and severide fallows and closes his door and say "reminds you of your mom"
casey then in tears says: ya and i can help but try to help
severide walks over and hugs him says: after shift what to go over to her hou....
they get cut off by the noise on the floor they walk out to see ot is the husband of the accident
husband:THERE HE IS....YOU LIKE STICKING YOUR NOSE INTO PEOPLE LIFE AND BUSINESS
Casey: YOU LIKE BEATING UP WOMEN
severide:casey...-he said quietly
husband:next time I see you alone i will beat your ass
severide: HE WILL NEVER BE ALONE
husband: he better watch his back
He gets in his car and speeds up
