If your wondering what to do first when your learning Japanese
Well here it is.......Writing.
You must learn the writing before going further into the language.
The writings are Hiragana, Katakana and Kanji. Hiragana has 46 characters, Katakana has 46 characters and Kanji has 2,000 characters usually it's 50,000 but you can remember than in 2,000 characters.
Speaking can come first then writing because you have to learn how to say it right before writing.
Hiragana is first, Katakana is second and Kanji is last.
After you are very good at doing hiragana and Katakana you could learn different phrases and grammars.
If your wondering can anime help you?
Yes it can but you still need to learn the language. In anime those could be use as phrases
