The Apple to Her Eye

It was a day like any other. Amara was the leader of the rats. A group full of underage black degradees. She was lonely and depressed having just been left by her lesbian lovers. She wondered what she would do with herself and who she would rely on.  She figured maybe if she played some video games she wouldn't feel as lonely.

"Cmon you little nigger, play some video games with me." Izzie would say to Amara like a slave owner.

"But masa, I just don't feel good today. Can't you see I'm all alone?" Amara would reply solemnly. She couldn't get her mind off the attractive, sexy, snatched, good-looking, smart, beautiful, Honey. 

"I don't care Monkey. Now get on that fucking video game and play on Hypixel. I have other white people to impress." Izzie would tell Amara sympathetically. 

Amara reluctantly agreed and joined Izzie on the Hypixel server...that's when she saw him. His Minecraft pixels made her curious. His skin was slightly tanned with different variations of dusty rose, his hair was tussled and in disarray. She found herself puddling and conflicting with her inner self. She hated it, but couldn't help wanting to feel more of it.  She just knew she had to invite him to the rats, no matter what it took. She remained calm and swallowed the pool of salvia that formed in her mouth. 

Izzie would then add all of them into the group. His voice. She couldn't cope. He sounded raspy and melanin lacking. She didn't know what to think, she had always found no attraction towards snow roaches. But Jackson was different. He was like...an apple.  She had to pretend it didn't phase her otherwise, she would have been made fun of.

"Hi." Jackson would say with no romantic or friendly intentions whatsoever.  

"Hi." Amara would say obsessively, she couldn't hear enough of his generic white male tone. It was richening and average.  She couldn't help it, she had to invite him now before he slipped away. Forget about his color, forget about their lack of knowledge for one another. She sent the invite without thinking. Would he join?
