Chapter 1

Yamaguchi POV

"Tsukki!" I shout as I run down the road to my lanky friend. I catch up to his side while he puts his headphones on blocking all the noise. I rant on our way to school about volleyball, etc. Even though he may not hear me, I love talking to him in general, walking through the neighborhood with the morning breeze hitting us and the sun that makes Tsukki's eyes glisten like honey..Everything about him is so perfect, it makes me feel special that I'm his only friend, I love him, I love him but...does he love me? I wonder everyday, is he even capable of feelings? I want to be that person who makes him feel something, makes him feel a spark..I'm hopeless..Who am I kidding he's totally straight, he'd never be into me.

"Yamaguchi"

"Yamaguchi."

"A-ah yes?" I snap back out of my thoughts. Tsukki observes me but decides not to say anything, "We're here." He turns around and goes through the gate of Karasuno. "O-oh, Gomen Tsukki!" I run trying to catch up to him.

We arrived near the club room and suddenly hear 2 familiar voices arguing over some kind of race

"I WAS HERE BEFORE YOU"

"WAAH? PROVE IT? I WAS HERE FIRST!"

"OH YOU-"

We walk into the club room to see the iconic duo bickering. "Dammit lovebirds" Tsukki remarked as he smirked. I snicker quietly at his comment. "OI SALTYSHIMA" Hinata pauses fighting Kageyama as they now have their focus on Tsukki. "Sorry can you repeat that? It's like a mice said something." he says as he walks past them. I follow him and glance back to see the duo glaring at us, well mostly at Tsukki. Hinata seems to opens his mouth to say something but instead turns around to change and mumbles something along the lines "beanpole." I turn back around and set my bag down to change into my jersey.

Timeskip

I practice my jump float over and over even though it hits the net. I walk to the bench and sit down, Yachi walks up to me and gives me a water bottle and towel, "Morning Yamaguchi-Kun!" she says as she softly smiles. I smile back as I take the water bottle and the towel, I chug the water down fast I almost choked. "Ah-Yamaguchi-kun be careful!" Yachi says in a worrying tone. "I'm fine thanks!" I smile as I stand up to head back to the court. My eyes suddenly are caught on someone else, it wasn't Tsukki though..It was a girl standing in the doorway directly looking at Tsukki someone small..about Noya-senpai's height, silky medium black hair with a little white heart clip and to top it off she has pretty hazelnut eyes. Tsukki and her would make a good couple I thought..I decided to walk over to her.

"H-hello? Do you need something?" I ask with my hand over my neck as I portray a faint smile. "Oh! I'm sorry if I disturbed practice. My name is Tsuda Miyako! You can call me Miyako, I needed to talk to Kei." She points over Tsukki who is busy blocking to notice her presence. Scratch that, KEI?!? First name basis? Who is she to him and why is she using his first name?! "A-ah ok. Uhh," I turn around, "Tsukki!!" I shout. Tsukki turns around and seems a little annoyed but I watch as his eyes rest onto the Miyako, and his eyes seems to soften?? At that point I'm really jealous but decide not show it, he walks to our way and starts talking to Miyako. I walk away since I didn't want to seem rude or "third-wheeling" but I do hear a little of their conversation..

"Kei! Morning, I was just wondering if you wanted to go that cafe around the block."

"Sure..Sunday? I'll text you what time."

"Really?! O-oh okay, I look forward to it. See you!"

"Yeah..See you Tsuda"

Again back to my thoughts, FIRST NAME BASIS?? My head starts to hurt a bit just watching them but I brush it off. But I wonder..

A-are they..are they dating?
