Krestena's POV
"I'm just going to the loo girl, I'll be fine" I assure Nari. She whines giving me her big brown eyes. "We'll play fetch when I get back" I add and he tail wags. "Good girl" I praise and leave her in my bedroom shutting the door. I go to the small bathroom next to the bedroom and relieve myself. I wash my hands and start to dry them. When a loud scream feels the air.
(Entrance Hall) Third Persons POV
"I'm sorry" Tonks says as she puts the umbrella stand back up. Putting the umbrella's back inside. Remus and Sirius close the curtains over the screaming portrait. Suddenly they hear faint barking from upstairs. "Do you guys have a dog?" she asks her cousin.
"Krestena" Remus says and races upstairs to her room. He opens the door and Nari runs out. She runs to the bathroom door and scratches it whining. Remus opens it and she runs to the tub jumping into it nudging Krestena. Who is curled up in the corner looking scared.
"Oh Storm" Remus says and gentlys picks her up out of the bath. He carries her to her room pass a confused Sirius and Tonks. He sits on her bed with her beside him. Nari jumps up and rests her head on Krestena's lap.
"Are we under attack?" Krestena asks her uncle in a quiet.
"No, it was just Sirius' mother portrait screaming" Remus tells her quietly.
"What set her off?" she asks him.
"Tonks knocked over the umbrella stand" he states.
"Of course she did" Krestena says as she pats Nari. "Now I feel silly" she whines.
"You aren't silly" Remus assures her. "May I tell Sirius and Tonks? I think you may of worried them" he states.
"Ok, I'm sorry" she tells him. "I do not want to worry anyone" she mumbles.
"It's ok, will you be ok with Nari?" he asks her. Krestena nods her and he leaves. "I'll explain in the kitchen" he tells the other two queitly. He sound proofs Krestena's door, so she won't hear Walburga Black's scream if she does it again.
Remus leads Sirius and Tonks to the kitchen. They enter and shut the door. Remus sits down and they do the same. "What happened back there?" Sirius demands worried about his daughter.
"Krestena was very depressed after Cedric died, she didn't leave her room for a week. I got Madame Pomfrey to exam her. She diagnosed that Krestena is suffering from PTSD" Remus explains.
"Oh the poor thing" Tonks says sadly.
"What is PTSD?" Sirius asks confused.
"Post-traumatic stress disorder, some Aurors suffer from it when they retire after a particular traumatic mission. Symptoms may include nightmares or flashbacks, avoidance of situations that bring back the trauma, heightened reactivity to stimuli, anxiety or depressed mood. I take it Nari is now her Emotional Support Dog?" Tonks asks Remus.
"Yes and she has been doing well. She is looking forward to school and writes to Harry often" Remus states.
"Why didn't you tell me about this Remus?" Sirius demands.
"Because she made me promise not to tell you, she did not want you to worry" Remus explains.
"I have a right to worry" Sirius states.
"Most who suffer PTSD do not want others to know" Tonks tells him.
"How do we help her?" Sirius asks Remus.
"Treat like everything is fine and tell no one of her condition. Dumbledore and Minerva know, Nari does most of the work. Just be there for her, let her know if she ever needs to talk. You're here to listen" Remus tell them. "And try not to make sudden loud noises. Like your mother screaming" he states.
"I'll try not to set her off" Tonks assures him.
"I've soundproof her door. So as long as it is shut, your mother's scream won't penetrate it" Remus tells Sirius.
"Thank you Remus" Sirius says.
(Krestena's room) Krestena's POV
I'm reading with Nari laying across my lap. I've calmed down after my episode. Though I hated worrying dad, my uncle and Tonks. My door creaks open and Dad appears. "May I come in?" he asks me.
"Yes" I say and mark my page closing my book. Dad comes and sits beside me. "I'm sorry fro worrying you earlier" I tell him sheepishly.
"I was worried, but you don't have to hid things from me pup" he tells me. "I'm your dad and I'll always be here if you ever need someone to talk to" he assures me.
"Thanks Dad" I say smiling. "How about the three of us play" I suggest. He smiles and turns into Padfoot. I turn into Storm without my wand. Nari yips happily and we all start to play fight. Until Nari and I team up against dad and pin him. We howl our victory as he grumbles. We then all curled up on the rug and fell asleep.
Third Persons POV
Remus smiles at the sleeping dog pile. He quietly shuts the door and goes back into the kitchen. "How are they?" Tonks asks him.
"Sleeping" he tells her.
"But it's the middle of the afternoon" she says.
"They played and deserve a rest, we'll wake them up for dinner" Remus assures her. "Why don't we get to know each other?" he suggests.
"Sure, I know you taught DADA for a year. Why don't we talk about that?" she suggests. Remus agrees and they start talking.
