More than Bosses - A BTS Fanfic

Ch 4 "Farewell"

You awoke the next morning, still a little sleepy, to get ready for work. You hadn't been able to sleep much last night because you had a lot going on in your head. But right now, you had almost forgotten about all the excitement of the previous day that when you got a notification from BTS's official on Instagram, it all came flooding back to you, the big news, the 'once in a lifetime'.

You checked the notification and then proceeded to scroll through your Instagram feed for a few minutes while still laying in your bed. Then you somehow switched to YouTube watching some funny BTS videos and laughing along. These guys never let you feel lonely. You lost track of time and finally when you glanced at the top of your screen to check the time, you shot up in bed. You were late !

You raced off to the bathroom, took a quick shower, got ready and grabbed a chicken sandwich from the fridge, that you had made the previous night, for breakfast. You grabbed your keys and your Duffle bag and rushed to your motorcycle. You turned in the key, revved the engine and rode away to Rex. You made it in time and as you parked your bike in your own personal underground parking, you couldn't help but notice that something seemed different today about the whole office..... it was much quieter than usual. 

Your feeling about something feeling different only grew stronger when you stepped into the foyer from the elevator. What was even more surprising was that even Debbie, the receptionist, was not at her spot. The rest of the foyer, lobby and the halls were also deserted. You had never seen the office like this. You walked over to the reception desk, thinking along the way whether today was supposed to be a holiday and you forgot, but that rarely ever happens and even if it was, the building would have been locked very securely and nobody would be able to get in.

You continued to think about any possible explanation for this whole last-man-alive situation until you reached the reception desk. Leaning over, you noticed the computer monitor facing you and reading in big, bold fonts, "COME TO THE CAFETERIA, QUICK !". You raised an eyebrow and thought for a while. This was unlike Rex at all. Something like this had never happened, not in your knowledge at least. 

You started moving towards the Cafeteria, your agent instincts forcing you to be completely silent and literally sneak up to the hallway. Reaching the door, you looked around before turning the door knob and kicking the door open and jumping into a ready-to-fight, defensive pose. But as soon as you entered, you were greeted with a huge "CONGRATULATIONS !!!!!" which transitioned into a chorus of laughter at you having gotten ready to take on a WWE wrestler but then being completely shook and taken by surprise, confusion evident on your face.

You continued to stand in that stupid, combat pose, trying to take everything in, all that was happening, as Evelyn made her way over to you and hugged you.

" You did it Y/N ! You made it !" Evelyn said letting you go.

As your muscles relaxed, you processed everything and replied, " Umm look Evelyn.... I know I was almost late today, but I made it here in time and I promise it won't ever happen again...."

But Evelyn cut you off. "No, you silly ! Your application that we sent in yesterday to Hybe Labels, they accepted it ! You got selected for the job !"

"Wait what ??!! Really ??!!" You blurted out, stoked. You couldn't believe what you just heard. It was really happening ! You were about to go work for BTS ! 

You looked around the Cafeteria and saw many happy faces of your colleagues, students, Jason, Debbie and all the staff at Rex, coming over to hug you, congratulate you or give you a pat on the back. It all seemed too good to be true but here it was, really happening in front of your eyes. Ever since you became an ARMY, you had this one big dream to see your fav boys live at least once in your life. And today your dream was about to come true !
