Whisperlime slowly opened her eyes to the peaceful sound of bluebirds singing. She yawned and stretched, sore from all the battle training she did yesterday. "Morning Whisper." Queen Quietstar said as she walked down the stairs. "Good morning Quietstar." Whisperlime replied, climbing out of bed.

The basement door then opened, and Megakat crawled out, holding a sponge covered in paint. "I finally cleaned out the basement after some one threw paintseeds into it!" He growled, glaring at Quietstar. "Megakat, I've said it so many times, it was the only way to save myself from the phantoms!" Megakat muttered something too quiet for Whisperlime to catch and stomped up stairs.

Quietstar rolled her eyes and turned back to Whisper, her expression now serious

Quietstar rolled her eyes and turned back to Whisper, her expression now serious. "Anyway, Whisperlime, I need to talk to you." Whisperlime sat up, ready to listen to what Quiet had to say. "These phantom attacks are soon going to get out of hand if we don't deal with them."

"Maybe we should look for a fortress and blow it to smithereens!" Whisperlime said, pretending to throw a bomb. "Well, that's the problem, Whisper. I've scouted through the outskirts and the near wilderness of Dylinville for a week now, and I haven't found a fortress anywhere!"

Whisperlime thought about it. "Maybe they are hiding their fortress, or maybe they set up a small, hard to notice camp." Quietstar suddenly perked her ears up, like she always does when she has an idea. "Maybe they are hiding somewhere in the village!" Whisperlime cocked her head to the side. "How?"

"They could be hiding in an abandoned building or something like that." Quietstar replied, wagging her boney tail. "Hmm, ya'know what? They could be!" Whisperlime exclaimed, happy to finally have a clue on where the phantoms could be.

"Sirpaw! Megakat! Get down here! We're going to Dylinville square!" Quietstar called to them. Sirpaw was the first to come down the stairs, his eyes droopy as if he just woke up. "Why?" He barked softly once he reached the bottom of the stairs.

"Because that might be where the phantoms have their base!" Whisperlime answered, jumping up and down in excitement. Sirpaw was suddenly wide awake, a huge grin on his face. "Woohoo!" He howled, running down the rest of the stairs.

He ran to the basement door and grabbed his armor on the armor stand next to it. Megakat came down next, folding his dragon wings as he walked down the stairs. "Maybe when we get there we can buy some black paint. There are still some paint stains in the basement."

All of the animals gathered around Quietstar. "Alright, is everyone ready?" She asked them. "Yeah!" Whisperlime, Sirpaw, and Megakat all exclaimed. "Then to the magic carriage!" They all ran outside the castle and to the carriage. Once inside, Quietstar grabbed the carriage's magic wand and said the magic words to start the carriage. "To Dylinville Square!" Then they were off, traveling at frightening speeds to the central.

On foot, it would normally take about an hour to reach the Dylinville central from the castle, but in the magic carriage, it took only two minutes! "WHY CAN'T WE JUST GO AT NORMAL SPEEDS!" Whisperlime screamed in terror as they were traveling, pressed against the back of the carriage. "I know you don't like riding in the carriage, but this is the fastest way to get to Dylinville." Quietstar said sympathetically.

By the time they reached the Dylinville central, Whisperlime had almost fainted, squeezed as deep as she could in the purple cushions of the seats

By the time they reached the Dylinville central, Whisperlime had almost fainted, squeezed as deep as she could in the purple cushions of the seats. "Whisperlime, you can get up! We're here!" Sirpaw barked excitedly, opening the door to the carriage and hopping out. Megakat and Quietstar followed closely behind him, leaving Whisperlime alone in the carriage. Whisperlime took a few seconds to catch her breath and lower her heart rate, then she crawled out of the carriage too.

The square barely had any animals, only a horse and a couple of bunnies. Quietstar gathered up Megakat, Whisperlime, and Sirpaw in a circle to create a plan. "Alright everyone. I'll go to the south side of Dylinville in search of abandoned buildings. Sirpaw, you go north, look for abandoned buildings too. Megakat, you go west, and Whisperlime, you go east. Make sure to be sneaky, and if you find anything, contact the others using this." Quietstar handed everyone a small purple gemstone necklace. "Just say: Message group, and then say what you need to. Everyone ready?" All of the tiny animals said yes. "Then move out!" Quietstar howled as she ran to the south side of Dylinville.
