The lights of the city captured my attention more than anything, I'd never seen such a bright and lively place before! It was packed to the brim with regular visitors and tourists like myself.
Akihabara Japan, I never thought I'd ever see the day, after 2 years, 3 months, and 22 minutes of planning, I'm finally here, and the best part is, I'm not alone on this perfect vacation.
"Hey Quinn! Wait up man!" said my tall blonde friend, Chris. "Now we didn't fly 16 hours just for you to start running off on us."
"Yeah bro!" yelled my brother, Raven, it was hard to see that we were related, with his black and spikey hair vs my white fading to brown hair which only thought of going down (Why does his hair go from white to brown? You tell me) "Don't go and start having all the fun without us!" He said with a huge grin.
"Okay okay" I said "it's just I've been waiting a long time for this you know?" I could barely contain my excitement as I said that.
"Jeez, it's always like you to focus on him, what about me??" said my brother's girlfriend, Caily (boy was she jealous of me for no reason), as she elbowed him in his ribs and adjusted her silky blonde hair after "I'm right here you know!"
"Ow! Okay sorry!" said Raven "we can't risk him getting lost again, with his track record it's pretty easy for him." he glared at me as he said that.
"Guys chilllllll, we're here to have fun remember?" said by far the most beautiful girl I've ever seen, her slightly darker skin from the rest of us -I'm probably as white as snow- her cute freckles on her nose that reach her cheekbones a bit, and her -oddly picked- orange-reddish hair, then again, her name was Sunny, so it was only fitting to her name and personality. "We didn't come all this way to make a scene in front of everyone." she pouted.
"You're absolutely right!" Said Raven.
"Says the one who was about to start the whole thing." Said Chris as he rolled his eyes.
Raven glared at Chris as Chris glared back.
"Am I gonna have to step in?" Said Sunny with her 'intimidation voice'.
Raven and Chris immediately stopped, knowing that if they got Sunny mad, they wouldn't have the end of it till the next century.
Just then, Raven got a devious idea, "hey, since it's about 6 o'clock, why don't we split up in groups? I'm sure each of us wanna see something different first" he gave me the biggest glare in my life.
"Wha-" I said, scared of what I knew was coming next.
"Why that's a great idea!" said Chris as he glared at me too -seriously bro?- "and since Caily is my sister, I guess I'm stuck with her and Raven." He said with the worst impression of disappointment.
"I guess that just leaves you and Sunny huh Quinn?" said Caily as she too glared at me -you really can't keep your mouth shut huh Raven?- "I kinda wanna check out the cafés, I'm sure the themed shops are gonna be awesome" she said while holding in a chuckle.
"Oh that's fine, I mean what choice do I have right Quinn?" Sunny said as she leaned in to me "There's no getting in the way of these two lovebirds *rolls eyes*, plus I wanna check out the merchandise first before I get something to eat." she patted me in the back and departed from the rest, my face was almost beet red as I glared at the others.
"What are you guys doing??" I said blushing and anxious.
"What could you possibly mean?" Raven said as he tried looking confused.
"You know what I mean." I replied bluntly.
"Come on bro, I know you've been waiting for the perfect moment to tell her, why not in your most favorite place in the world?"
"...okay, I get what you're saying, but-"
"But nothing bro" Raven put his hand on my shoulder "this is that moment, go for it." he lightly punched me on the shoulder as he stepped.
"Have fun you little daredevil!" said Caily while winking and sticking her tongue.
"Hey Quinn! You coming or not?!" yelled Sunny.
"Y-yeah, I'm on my way!" I replied while smacking my face to stop blushing "You owe me big time if this goes wrong." I said as I was walking toward Sunny.
"Oh I don't know about that bro, I think you'll end up owing me!" Raven said as him and the others walked away.
As I caught up with Sunny, she asked:
"What were you guys talking about?"
"Oh it was nothing, just where we're gonna meet up afterward."
"Oh okay, I can't believe we're actually here right?" she smiled.
"Yeah, I've been waiting a long time for this moment."
"Well, where do you wanna go first?" she put her hands behind her and leaned forward a bit.
"Why not Mandarake?" I pointed to the sign "They're famous for the sheer amount of anime merch they have." I chuckled.
"Well what're we waiting for?! Let's go!" she said as she punched my shoulder and started running, I followed and managed to get there first.
*pant* "You cheater!" she said while chuckling "You're supposed to let the lady win!" *pant*
As I was catching my breath, I said:
"What lady? All I see are children." *pant*
"Why you little-" she said as she started tickling me.
"Ahahah, hahahah, ok, ok ok, haha, ok I give up, you won I cheated!"
"Good, I was clearly the winner." she said with a smug smile.
"Yeah uh huh, okay sure yeah whatever." I replied.
"Come on, let's enter the motherland."
"Allllrighty then."
