Okay, let's get on to this 'controversial'  topic. (can you hear my eyeroll?)

What are your thoughts on "text slap" covers? My love, my one and only.

For those who don't know, 'text slap' is a term made up by salty people and from my understanding, it refers to covers on which the text feels like it's been 'slapped' onto a picture without care. People hate on it because it's "lazy and doesn't require any real skill and so ew". In other words, it's amateurish.

I'm curious, which typeface(s) do you loathe? As in, if you see a book cover with that typeface, you'll yeet it out your window and into that lava moat around your house.

Mine is honestly any typeface from PicsArt.

Clearly, in the next chapter we will discuss:

why text slap covers aren't horrible ugly creations from the sewers

why people seem to think so,

why some of them actually are horrible ugly creations from the sewers,

how to mix typefaces

why typefaces (and images) are not pancakes, but are instead waffles

which typefaces you generally use for each genres

font effects

and common mistakes!

𝐍𝐎𝐓𝐄𝐒:

Right, so I wanted to ask, do you guys want a set weekly schedule? Like, I set a specific day a week where I post.  Or do you guys just want random weekly updates, like I do usually?

ALSO! I will start adding songs to the chapters, you can find them in the 2nd slide where the banners are. Obviously you don't have to listen to them but I just want to add it because I like sharing music I listen to with others. (it'll mostly be chill music, but it'll depend on my mood lmao)
