I woke to find myself in a beautiful and strange area but as he looked around he saw two figures he recognized instantly

Immediately got up and kneeled before the gods
"Stand child we do not need you to kneel before us" the god of light said kindly I did as I was told standing before the brothers
"We have brought you here out of pity mostly" the god of darkness said
"That is not the case" the god of light yelled at his brother before turning his attention back on me
"We brought you here because we were rather pleased with your resolve and we wanted to give you a chance to actually be the hero you always wanted to be" the god of light said the god of darkness snorted
"And because you are desperately needed where we are sending you" the god of darkness said
"What do i have to do" i asked
"Do what you believe is right" the god of light said
"Even though aura and semblances do not exist we are having you keep yours with minor tweaking" the god of darkness said
"I understand" i said
"Then you will be reborn once you reach a certain age you will be able to remember what has happened in this world" the god of light said
"Got it" i said
"Well then good luck oh and a word of warning this world is much more cruel so be prepared although you will most likely flourish

And with that my vision faded
The next thing I saw was an old man with mechanical augments holding me
"Doctor I am not sure why but this boy holds some sort of power within him our scanners aren't getting a proper read out on him" a scientist said I giggled knowing the sensed my aura which the gods apparently multiplied
"Interesting can we figure out what kind of power what does it do and how strong is it" the doctor asked
"We can try sir" the scientist said
After a bunch of tests some were painful others were pleasant they had a hypothesis
"sir we believe he has some type of energy that acts a barrier and a regenerative factor at once" the head scientist said
"I see you have more to say go on" the doctor said
"Well sir we also believe that if we design a franxx around him he could possibly transfer some of this energy to the franxx giving it the same regenerative factor and barrier
"Hmm machines don't need regeneration but the barrier could be useful alright when he is old enough to pilot we will begin" the doctor said
"One last thing doctor" the scientist said
"Yes what is it" the doctor said
"We believe it would be in Papa's best interest to inject some klaxosaur blood into the boy" the scientist said
"Yes I agree we would have to be careful though if the boy loses that energy then we would have just lost what could become a very important piece but if we are careful and we implement the blood in small increments he could become much stronger then we expect zero two to be" the doctor said
"Yes doctor right away" the scientist said
"What should we call this strange energy" the doctor asked mostly to himself
