It's been almost 2 years since the battle, but it seems like a lifetime ago.

Lyssa and I are sitting outside, watching our alphas, Damien and Max, play with our pups together.

"Who would have thought we'd see those two go gaga for babies?" chirps Lyssa and I can't help, but giggle.

"They are great mates, great daddies, and great leaders," I tell her and she beams up at me with happiness. I still can't get over the reality in front of my eyes, me, a person who lost her birth family at such a young age, now is blessed to see my very own flesh and blood crawling up to my love, babbling away with outstretched hands.

Max picks up our little bundle of joy as he walks over to me and plants a wet kiss on my lips. I moan, relishing his taste on me and his scent, mixed with our pup's, taking over all of my senses.

Lyssa mindlinks me that she can take the pup, giving me a wink in understanding as she communicates in my head, I'll grab the little ones tonight. Damien and I already enjoyed ourselves plenty last night when you were on babysitting duty. Our turn"

I mouth a 'thank you' in her direction before my attention shifts fully to Max. I eye him up and down, his muscles rippled through his body making me all hot and bothered all over again.I pull him into a deep kiss while I jump up and wrap my legs around his waist.

"I love you so much" I whisper into his ear, giving him a squeeze and nestling my face into his neck, breathing in his scent that makes me feel at home wherever we are.

"I had a dream last night" I begin to tell him, and he pulls away slightly so he can look down into my eyes. "I saw the Moon Goddess with my parents again. They said they were proud of us. Of You. They knew you would love me, keep me safe, and cherish me. They gave me a glimpse of our future and it was full of everything I had ever wanted. I wish they were here to meet you in person Max."

I feel a hand brush over my cheek, not even realizing that I was crying, before his lips brush over my own. "I would have loved them Kyda. I'm just happy you had these moments with them and that they approve of me" he chuckles as I squeeze him harder to me, never wanting to let him go.

"Those little pups will be the death of us" I smile at Max, not knowing who was the bigger troublemaker, our pup, or Lyssa's and Damien's.

"Well, I think the bigger trouble will be if the Moon Goddess has a sense of humor and pairs them up as mates when they get older"

I gasp, a smile forming on my face..."She would, you know. If the few times I've met her are any indication, the woman's got a web of tricks up her sleeve"

We look out at the pack land, seeing Lyssa and Damien carrying our pups and tickling them silly as I feel Max bend and give me a brief kiss on the cheek.

"I look forward to whatever tricks she has in store for us Kyda, so long as you're with me. I love you"
