THINGS HAVE NEVER BEEN MORE RELAXING after the confrontation the Cullens and the others had with the Volturi. They had said their farewells to the other covens who went back to their homes, once again able to calm themselves knowing that the only threat as of now was the clumsy children scraping their knees and drawing blood, which will most likely drive them crazy with all the restraints they had enforced in themselves.
"Hey, you okay?" Jackie asked her fiancé as soon as they emerged out of the forest.
Alice's eyes were fixated on the dirty-blonde vampire inside the house which she could see through the large panes of windows.
"Yeah, just...checking on Luna." Alice said as she looked at Luna worriedly.
"Why?" Jackie asked.
They remained standing outside as they watched Luna become irritated considering that even though she wanted to focus on the book she's reading, she couldn't help but hear Aurora and Embry's conversation through the phone call.
"Well, I can't get the vision I had of the battle out of my head. Luna was so different there." Alice said almost absentmindedly.
"Jasper died in the vision, right?" Jackie asked. "He is her king, and God have mercy on the poor soul that would dare to hurt her king."
Alice couldn't help but smile as their gazes on the dirty-blonde vampire never faltered.
"Hell hath no fury like Luna making those poor souls pay for touching even one golden hair on Jasper's head." The pixie-haired vampire stated.
Alice looked back on her fiancé before they intertwined their hands and entered the house to join the rest of the girls.
As relaxing as these past few days have been, Luna still couldn't escape the extremely public display of affection of Aurora and Embry. Now, Luna knows what their family feels like when she and Jasper do that.
"No, you hang up." Aurora said as she talked to Embry through the phone while she sat comfortably beside Luna on the couch.
Luna was busy reading 'Pride and Prejudice' which she just randomly picked out from the rather large collection of books her family has.
"Well, I don't want to hang up. You do it." Aurora said, still talking to Embry.
However, even though Luna has been trying to focus all her attention on the book, she can't fully concentrate considering that Aurora has been arguing with Embry about who should hang up the phone for the past three minutes.
