"This is straight bullshit," Nightshade muttered holding a backpack and a suitcase while standing in the grassy field facing the street as he watched his father's limo zoom away.
Nightshade was an awfully, lanky and frankly below average hieght wolf. The bright sun hurt his bright red eyes, even with his hair in his face. He couldn't understand why he needed to do this, he was fifteen for god's sake. The last thing he wanted to do was go to a summer camp and piss away all his vacation, but this wasn't up to him. Now he had to spend it at some summertime babysitting service, he blew some of his jet black hair away from his eyes and muzzle feeling the blazing heat of the sun on his face. He looked down at his clothes with some relief, good thing he decided on the shorts and shirt instead of his normal introvert wear. It had to be just over 90 and nearly sweltering. Glancing back at his bag that was absolutely packed to the maximum capacity, he felt like he might be overpacked. He was just staying for the summer, then again, his father always liked to be overly prepared. He turned to face the field where a large group of mammals sat, stood, played and chatted with their luggage. All kinds, from bears to sheep. Some seemed to sit off by themselves and in a weird way that comforted the wolf knowing that he won't stand out all that much. He had friends, but as far as he could see they were nowhere to be found and he wouldn't blame them-
"Git' 'er done," A heavily accented voice shouted with a whoop of excitement.
He glanced around and located the source of the voice and his jaw dropped. A harlequin rabbit in overalls and a white tee had his legs wrapped tightly around the neck of a decently sized shirtless polar bear hanging on tightly to the back of its head holding on for dear life as it tried to buck him off.
"The fuck-," Nightshade started before the rabbit was flung off, sliding and tumbling through the grass laughing.
The wolf sprinted over as the bear loomed over the smaller figure with a snarl fixed on his muzzle, the bear grabbed the bunny by his collar and held him up.
"Hey now," He said still giddy with adrenaline, "Calm down snowball, 's not everyday ya get 'ta ride a bear like 'yerself."
The bear looked kinda familiar, but he was having a hard time placing where he'd seen him before.
The moment he spoke in his low voice and Russian accent Nightshade knew who he was, "Listen little bunny rabbit- "
"Bri?" Nightshade tried.
The bear dropped the rabbit who yelped as he hit the ground with a bounce, "Nightshade. I haven't seen you in a while... You still need a haircut."
"Don't remind me, my dad keeps saying the exact same thing." He looks down at the rabbit who was massaging his legs, "Friend of yours?"
"Nyet, 've just met. You learn your lesson bunny?" He leaned down to seem intimidating.
The rabbit dusted off his overalls and looked up at Bri with a goofy smile and booped the bear's nose, "Ah just gotta hold on tighter."
