Connie Moreau's New Girlfriend

First Day of High School

Its the first day of high school and me and Connie did make it official over the summer. We were at a river and we talking and holding hands. I had almost slipped on my roller blades multiple times; Connie had always caught me. I leaned in to kiss her and then we heard a duck call; I had no idea what it was but then we saw Charlie and the team and Connie skated over to them and I yelled "I was this close!" before putting my pointer and thumb inches apart. I skated over to them and was behind everyone. A boy named Guy skated up to me and whispered "Back off, lesbo" I was so shocked I stopped skating. Connie was still skating so I quickly started again. We got to school and it was huge. Me and Connie had checked and we had only two periods together; lunch and science. Every time class ended Connie would come up to me, kiss my cheek and say 'bye' or 'see ya' and run off to stupid Guy. It was science and she said "Hey, I'm gonna sit with Guy today, okay?". "What? no, not okay! you've been with him all day, it's like I don't even exist; whatever I don't care anymore" I said back. she walked away as if I didn't matter. I brushed it off and payed attention in science. I could see Guy eye me whilst I was looking at the whiteboard, he obviously got in trouble for that.

I was sitting with Julie and Goldberg when Connie came up to us and said "Room for one more?" "Nope" we all said in unison. "What? I'm your girlfriend, and you guy's friend!". "What? really I thought you were Guy's!". I said getting up "I love you, okay! you, only you" she yelled at me. (We were in the hallway at this point) "That's a lie and you know it; you know, we only made it official 3 weeks ago, but you had to ruin it." I said walking away. I walked off to the art room, I really needed to paint. A few minutes later I heard the door open and lock. I saw Connie and Guy walk in. I hid behind the table. They sat down and Guy tried to kiss Connie she said "I have a girlfriend, Guy". "are you really even dating?". "I mean I guess, not really.." she said. They started to make out after that the bell rang and I had to go to class but they were still making out. He put his hand up her skirt and I lost impulse after that. I got up and grabbed my backpack I unlocked the door and they both jumped. "See ya" I said. Turns out it was the end of the day. I was walking outside and Connie ran up to me. "Hey it's not what it looks like!" She grabbed my shoulder and turned me around. "Then what is it Connie? Because it looks like you were about to have sex with Guy!" People around us looked at her. "Connie I love you, but I guess you don't feel the same." I said I skated away and she followed me. We stopped at the bridge we were at in the morning. She grabbed my face and kissed me. She pulled away and said "I love you,  so much". "I love you too but, you betrayed me" I said with tears on my face. I pushed my blonde curly hair out of my face and wiped my freckled face of tears and blew my bangs out of my face. She looked into my dark brown eyes and said "please don't" I turned around and saw Charlie and Goldberg. She tried to follow me but Charlie said "Walk it off, give it some time". I got home and my mother asked "How was school?". "I broke up with Connie, she kissed Guy and please I don't want to talk about it." She took my face in her hands and said "Go call your sister talk to her.". "Okay, mom I love you" I took the cookie he put on the table for me. I went to go wash my face and my eyes were so puffy. I put my hair in a ponytail and changed into my old ducks jersey and shorts with socks. I did my homework, made sleeping tea and took my pills for my swollen eyes then, finally called my sister. I dialed her number on the phone on my nightstand. It was pink and shaped in lips. I have my sister's old room so I had to use her old phone. We talked about college and about her sorority and how my day went and how everything went down Connie. She seemed really upset and it turns out she also broke up with her boyfriend. I fell asleep and I hear my mom come in and hang up the phone and put it back on my nightstand and put my homework and comics in my backpack. She also picked up the tea I made and tuck me in. She turned on my hockey themed nightlight and turned off my light. At least some people care about me.
