Christmas Eve

It wasn't that Harry was nervous, he was actually rather excited for his surrogate family to be meeting his boyfriend. It's just that he had no idea how they would react. Ron and Hermione had promised to take care of it, prepare the family for the shocker that was him dating Malfoy. But even then, what would they say about it? How would they feel? Harry would be lying if he said there wasnt a patchy past between the Weasleys and the Malfoys. He supposed this could somewhat make up for it. At least by a small amount.

Generally speaking, Harry knew that most of the Weasleys were good when it came to lowering the tone of their words; keeping what they said to a minimum of what they were actually thinking. Even if they decided they hated Draco, they all would still treat him as they would any guest. Except for Bill, that is. He always seemed to speak his mind whether it was for better or for worse. If he thought something needed to be said, he said it without a problem. And that was Harry's problem. He didnt want to walk in and immediately have Bill wanting Draco out. But it is what it is. No matter how much Harry wants Draco to spend time there with his family.

Approaching the door is when both Harry and Draco's anxiety shot through the roof. No turning back. The brunette's hand hovered over the handle for a moment and just when he decided to turn it, the cracked oak wood shot open to reveal an excited Ron standing behind it. "Harry! Glad you could make it. We missed you, mate!" He leans against the doorframe. "Ron, it's only been a day." Harry laughed, going to step inside with Draco following, the blonde instantly taking off his hat as to not be rude. It was better on the inside than on the outside in his opinion. Very cozy and made him feel oddly safe. "Yeah, well, I still missed you. Hermione did too even if she wont admit it." The ginger shrugged, taking both Harry and Draco's coats. "Don't fuck this up. My Mum will only give you one chance here." Ron whispers to Draco, patting his back. "Oh, um..okay, Well, thank you.." He replied nervously as he took the coat.

The blonde felt wildly out of place as Harry greeted some family with hugs, just waiting to be properly introduced. It seemed to him that eyes were burning holes into his body even if no one was actually looking at him. But that was just the anxiety talking. He could see some of the Weasleys were missing, only being Ginny, Ron and Molly. Hermione was there too but that's just because she was Ron and Harry's best friend besides eachother. Missing was Bill, Arthur and the twins though he was sure the latter two would appear very loudly and obvious.

He was only actually snapped out of his thoughts when Molly spoke up, cheery smile on her face as her voice echoed into his ears. "Harry, why don't you introduce me here? Just leaving the poor boy standing there all nervous- Ron tells me you were bringing over a boyfriend and if that's right then I cant just go without a name." She looked between the two boys, Draco quickly answering for himself. "I'm Draco, Ma'am. Draco Malfoy. Pleasure to be meeting you." He was honestly surprised she had not recognized him. But all the better, it meant he wasnt easily connected with his family. Thank god.

"Oh, he says 'ma'am'- You got yourself a gentleman then, have you, Harry?" She didnt even mention his last name, obviously avoiding the subject as to not bring a bad atmosphere to the room. "I suppose I have, yes." The brunette smiled at Molly. "Well, you can call me Mrs. Weasley, dear. Now I know what letter to put on your sweater." She places a hand on his arm, leaning a bit closer to him. "But dont be mistaken. Hurt my Harry and it will be the last thing you do, understand?" Draco gave a quick nod at that, feeling threatened even if she was shorter than him. "Good. I'm glad. Now- there's two cups of hot chocolate already made for you and Harry. I'll be back in a minute." She patted his cheek.
