CHAPTER 1:The first Day of School

"Hurry! Hurry! or else you'll be late for school." Kayla's mum Shouted
"Yes mom." Kayla Replied.
It was the beginning of the first term at the Bolder High School it was also Kayla's first day at school after she completed middle school. Kayla was a very intelligent girl and also very friendly she topped her former school almost always and she was always in the good books of her teachers because of her good behavior and good academic performance.
"Get into the car dear." Kayla's Dad said
"Okay Dad." She said
They were on their way to school until they were caught up in a very heavy traffic.
"Oh my God!" Kayla's Dad said worriedly
" Yes Dad, the traffic today is even heavier than usual don't you think?" Asked Kayla
"Yes dear, even I am surprised" He said
"You know what Dad, I think I will be late for class you know its my first day and it won't be nice for me to be late on my first day. Why don't you give me some money I'll take the bus."
"But Kayla are sure you'll manage by yourself?" He asked anxiously
"Oh Dad,of course I can manage don't worry about me I'll be fine." She said
"All right then dear, Take this money with you."
He said while giving her the money.
"Thanks Dad, Bye Take care" He said and got out of the car "

Kayla walked 5 kilometers to the bus station and got on the bus to school. When she arrived at school she was happy because she had always wanted to go to the Bolder High School because they students and teachers were very nice an d disciplined.
"I better hurry and get to class." she said while running
She wasn't looking where she was going and bumped into Vanessa and dropped all her things on the ground
"Oops! I'm so sorry I wasn't looking where I was going" Kayla said so lovingly
"It's okay these things happen" Vanesaa said
" Sorry where are my manners, I'm Kayla Miller" She said
"I'm Vanessa Alonzo"She said
"Oh, so you are Filipino?" Asked Kayla
"Oh no my foster parents are but I was born America."Vanessa said
"Oh I guess we are the same then I too have foster parents, What a coincidence huh?"Kayla Said.
"Yeah indeed!" Vanessa said with a smile.
"Hey! We better get to class as it is were already late." Kayla said
"Okay sure." Vanessa agreed

So the two girl went to class and turns out they are actually both very good at math and science
So they became math and science partners.
The chemistry class teacher told everyone to pick a lab partner and of course Kayla and Vanessa became partners.

It was 12:30p.m. at Lunch time. Kayla didn't know her way to the cafeteria so she sat down in the hall and ate the food her mom had packed for her. Coincidentally she ran into Vanessa.
"Hey Kayla, what are you doing sitting here Alone?" Vanessa asked
"Oh hi Vanessa, it's just I don't my way around here so I don't know where the cafeteria is." She said
"So is that why you're here alone, why didnt you call me?" Vanessa asked.
"I didnt wanna disturb your lunch-break" said Kayla.
"Hey we're friends and we must be there for each other don't ever think you are disturbing me."
" Okay best friend"said Kayla
So Vanessa decided to give Kayla a quick tour of the school. They went to the library,computer lab,chemistry lab,girls bathroom,cafeteria etc.
Lunch time was over and it was time for music class Kayla loved to play piano and Vanessa liked to play guitar. They sang a song together although they had terrible voices they had so much fun together.
" OMG! Vanes that's enough fun for a day" said Kayla
" Yes Kay! You're right" said Vanessa

It was 4:30p.m. at Bolder High and time for school to close. The girls packed their books and lunch boxes and decided to go to the parking lot of the school to wait for their parents to come and pick them up.
"Hi darling!" Kayla's mum said
"Hi mom! She gave her mum a hug
"Mom this is Vanessa,Vanessa my mom" Kayla gave an introduction
"Hello Mrs.Miller" Vanessa greeted sweetly
"Awwwn aren't you an angel!" Mrs. Miller said lovingly.
" Oh it's my mom I have to go now, Bye Kayla and Mrs. Miller"she shouted
"Bye Vanessa!" Both shouted
"Come dear get into the car and let's go home. Mrs. Miller said
"Okay Mom." Said Kayla.
They arrived home and Kayla's mum begun to prepare dinner for the family.They all begun eating when everyone was sastified Kayla cleared the dinning table and washed the dishes after that she took a shower,brushed her teeth got into her pajamas , prayed and went to bed.
Before she could sleep she got a message from Vanessa saying "Good night Bestie today was awesome even if it was for a shirt while I enjoyed every moment I spent with you today I hope to see you again tomorrow at school sleep tight don't forget to pray." Kayla smiled and replied " I'm glad you had a great time and all the fun begins tomorrow have good night Bestie don't forget to pray too she added a smiley face😊 and ended the chat.
