Yoongi walked to his desk with his coffee in hand. Silently sitting down and waiting for Seokjin to come back to his desk, to tell him his first task.
"Okay, so, this is Park Jimin. He is the author of the story you will be editing." Seokjin stated motioning to the man beside him.
"Hello!" Jimin said with a smile that didn't reach his eyes.
"Hi, i didn't know i'd be meeting you, even at all." Yoongi mumbled.
"It was one of my conditions when I joined this company, I had to meet anyone who did anything with my stories." Jimin shortly explained.
"Oh, well, Im Min Yoongi."
"So I've been told." Jimin chuckled.
"Okay, room 4b is open for you guys on the twelfth floor if you would like to work there. I'll leave you to it." Seokjin stated with a slight bow as he walked away.
Yoongi nodded, getting a cookie package, a pack of gummies and a bottle of water from his bottom desk drawer. He laid the cookies on Seokjin's desk, earning a small thank you, and offered the gummies to Jimin who gladly took them. He then grabbed his laptop and glasses and stood up.
"Alright, let's get some coffee in the lobby and then we'll head to floor 12." Yoongi mumbled once they got into the elevator and pushed the button for the ground floor.
"Okay." Jimin agreed with a nod.
They both got the coffee they wanted, and headed back to the elevator. They sat in the elevator alone for about 30 seconds before Jimin spoke.
"You know, you can tell a lot about a person from the coffee they drink." Jimin stated.
"Yeah, what can you tell about me?" Yoongi questioned.
"Black coffee drinkers are straightforward people," Jimin stated. "Or, you're just a bitter person."
"Or, i just don't like sugary things. You know what I can tell about you from your coffee?" Yoongi asked, earning a nod from the latter. "You tend to overthink a lot, or you just pay too much attention to the people around you." he said sarcastically, as they stepped out of the elevator.
"Touché" Jimin chuckled.
"I appreciate you trying though, it was cool."Yoongi mumbled. "I know i'm not talkative, but I will try and talk more with you."
"I get it, you don't have to talk to me as much if you don't want to, it would just be cool if you did." Jimin chuckled.
"I just have one question before we start," Yoongi started, sitting down at the small table in the room they were given. "Why did you let me edit your book?"
"Because I wanted to, Jin has been editing my books by request since I started writing. He thought that we would be good friends." Jimin explained.
Yoongi shrugged and opened his laptop, he opened Jimin's book that he named 'Burnt out'.
"So when I edit, I read the book, and fix the things I notice while reading. I read it again to see if I missed any and then I talked to the author about what we could add that would make sense. Is that okay or would you prefer I did it a different way?" Yoongi explained.
"You can do it however you are comfortable." Jimin shrugged. "I have stuff to do as well. If you need me i'll be right here." jimin finished with a smile.
Yoongi slightly smiled back and pulled his airopd from his pocket, connecting them to his phone and offering jimin one, which jimin politely declined. Shrugging yoongi put it in and started his music.
"It's a love story just so you know." Jimin calmly stated.
"I assumed." Yoongi deadpanned.
"Oh, okay." Jimin responded with a sad look in his eye.
Yoongi sighed starting the story. Where Sanghoon and Donghyun are lovers whose love seemed too far gone for them to still be together, their close friends liked to use the term 'burnt out' to explain it. But the couple still loved each other so much, the people around them couldn't see it as much though, because in public they are best friends, not lovers. Only the people they were closest to knew that they were lovers.
"I really like this." Yoongi mumbles his thoughts out loud.
"Oh, thank you." Jimin says with a blush, making the latter blush realizing he said that out loud.
"Anytime." Yoongi mumbled, still slightly blushing.
The men sit in silence after that, both doing their respectful jobs. About 3 hours passed before Jimin's phone dinged, catching Yoongi's attention. The man had a worried look on his face before abruptly closing his laptop and standing up.
"I have to go, do you want to continue this tomorrow?" Jimin asks, shoving his phone into his pocket and his laptop back into his backpack.
"Yeah, i'll be here until 1 pm if you need me." Yoongi mumbled, picking his stuff up as well to go to his desk.
"Okay, I'll see you tomorrow then." Jimin nodded with a small frown.
