YEOJIN POV (November 15th)

"Hey Bora, can you help me with something?" My voice was so small and tiny and I'm pretty sure that Bora didn't hear me. It was clear that instead of listening to me she was staring (gawking) at Yerim. That cow(ard). I repeated my question a bit louder a couple of times, getting louder and louder but she still hasn’t acknowledged that fact I’m right in front of her. This is one of those times I feel like slapping her across the face.

Don't get me wrong, I love Bora. She is my bestest friend and I will support her until the end of the earth. But sometimes I wish she would do the same for me. Sometimes it’s exhausting being the only one who provides support in this friendship. Nonetheless, I'll always be there for her, whenever she needs me to.

"Oh Bora, are you even listening to me!?" I asked as I lightly slapped her face and rolled my eyes. I don’t know why I asked the question when I already knew the answer. I guess I wanted to hear it from her but when she didn’t answer me I spoke up.

"I swear to God Jesus that I can never ask you for help. Ellie is more helpful than you," I said as I crossed my arms.

"If Ellie is gonna be more helpful, ask her for help," Bora said jokingly. I knew it was a joke but for some reason hearing just hurt my heart a little. Before I could get too upset I huffed to play along and pointed at Ellie who was too busy bickering with Jungeun and Hyunjin by the lockers. I opened my mouth to say something but Ellie basically jumped out of her seat.

"Sorry Yeojin, I need to go now!"

"Bora, wait-" I reached out to grab her but she was already gone. I rolled her eyes at her immaturity but felt like crying. It’s not her fault she’s just an idiot but she does this all the time. I put a bright smile on my face when the reason Bora left like that was in front of me.

Choi Yerim. Yerim and her good friend Hyejoo were in front of me. Strangely I felt the need to cry but that would be immature, right?

BORA POV (November 22nd 2020)

“Hey Ellie! Oh and... Hyunjin?” I walked up to the two older kids being... civil? I’ve known Ellie for years and Hyunjin for even longer and never once in my life have I seen them not at each other’s throats. If you didn’t know them you would think they’re dating (🤮). It was clear I was weirded out and Ellie spoke up about this situation.

“You better take a picture because me and Hwang, never happening again,” Ellie assured me though, it looked like she was more assuring herself. Hyunjin nodded in agreement.

“The teacher just got mad at me and Yuri’s bickering so-” Hyunjin stopped himself in the middle of his sentence realizing his mistake. Yuri is Ellie’s Korean name but she doesn’t let just anyone call her that. Even the people who are allowed to call her that don’t. There was an uncomfortable silence that I just had to break.

“Are you guys going on the field trip tomorrow?” I asked changing the subject before the awkward situation escalated.

Ellie’s face lit up at the chance to talk about the field trips that she and Jungeun had planned for months. Every year the whole school goes on field trips right before thanksgiving break. It’s different for each grade. Freshman go to the beach, Sophomores hiking, Juniors go to the forest, and Seniors will go to the town center and watch a movie and go bowling
