Kaylee and Victoria had arrived at the house minuets before Kaylee's mother called. Victoria has been to her house millions of times, and she loved it. She always wanted a mother to get after her for the stupid things, and that's one of the things Kaylee loved to do.
"KAYLEE SAW MCDERVIN! DO YOU KNOW WHAT TIME IT IS? DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW WORRIED I WAS?" Her mother yelled from the kitchen, soon coming into the living room. "Mom, did you ever read my text I sent to you at five?" She said, crossing her arms.
Her mother stared at her with complete utterly disbelief. She quickly composed herself, crossing her arms. "Well, I was . . . uh, to busy to check my phone, so why didn't you call me?" "Why are you turning this on me? I told you I may have plans with Victoria!" Her mother was quiet, she looked at Victoria then at the luggage. "What's with the luggage?" Kaylee looked at Victoria then her mother. "Um, she going to stay here with me four the next four days until she moves." She raised an eyebrow, "Moved? Move where?" "Um . . . Utah." Victoria said.
Kaylee's mother stared at Victoria with complete shock. "Why are you moving hun?" She asked, taking a seat on the couch. "My dad got a promotion in the music industry which is all the way out in Utah." She nodded, "oh, and you move on . . ." "offically . . . on Saturday. Friday is my last day." Her eyes became glossy, "well, you can stay here as long as you want, just make sure to get a hold of your parents, okay?" "I will, I think were gonna go head to bed early. Kaylee has been at my house helping me pack, so sorry we came late" "oh . . . its okay. Are you two hungry?" "No!" They said in union before cracking up. "Alright you two goons, head up to bed; I'll make some breakfast for ya in the morning" "night mom!" Kaylee said, heading upstairs. "Night my two little doves!" "Hey, what about me?" A little boy's voice said.
Victoria peered right over Sandra to see Dylan standing with his arms crossed and his lips pouted. Once he saw Victoria, his face instantly turned into pure happiness. "Tori!" He said, running over to her. She quickly picked him up, smothering him with kisses. "Hey Dilly, how's life going?" He smiled, "good, I have a field trip tomorrow" "really, where?" "To the Dinosaur World!" She smiled, "wow, I wish I could go!"
She set him down, "well Dilly, I better head to bed, I've got a big day tomorrow and a girl must-" "must always have her beauty sleep. Yep, I know!" She smiled as he remembered her words. "Yep, so I'll see you tomorrow morning." She instantly turned, but Dylan held onto her hand. "And what about my kiss, baby?" He said, mocking Austin Powers. She leaned down and kissed him on the cheek, "there's your kiss, baby!" She mocked back, making him smile.
Victoria walked up the stairs, the smell of rose petals smacking her like a wave. She walked into Kaylee's room, "it smells good in here. What kind of candle did you get?" "I got the honey rose, it was the last one on the shelf. Oh my god, its only limited addition and this candle has been my favorite so far." Victoria smiled at Kaylee's outburst, "well, maybe I ought to buy myself a candle once I'm gone" "you better, you be smelling weird sometimes!" Kaylee said, whiffing the air. Victoria grabbed a pillow, wacking her in the head. "I do not, I smell like grapefruits!" She declared, sitting down and crossing her arms.
Kaylee sat up, "I'm just kidding, come on, we need to head to bed." Both girls quickly changed into some shorts and long sleeve sweaters. After brushing their teeth, both girls looked at the dark room, laying on the bed. Thought raced in their minds; its like their bodies were tired, but their minds were racing. Victoria wanted to speak, but she was scared that she would wake Kaylee; so she turned to her left side, letting the sleep try and take over.

The night sky hung forever, never letting the sun show. The moon was bright and full, yet the street lights were on. Houses were on both sides of the road, but only the lamps on the outside were on. Some garage lights were on, and some were off. Victoria walked down the street, everything was quiet and still; its like that one Christmas tale, not even a mouse stirred.
