"mom please don't make me go to school it's bad enough we already moved" I said frowning at her.
"ana asif walakuna ealayk aldhahab 'iilaa almadrasat li'anana fi balad mukhtalif wabialkad hasalt ealaa taelim eabr al'intrnt " (im sorry but you have to go to school since we are in a different country and you barely had an education online) my mom said putting on her shoes.
"Mom yk I don't speak a lot of Arabic" I said getting up and grabbing my backpack.
"I'm sorry" my mom said getting the keys. "Tell Aya to hurry up"
"No need I'm already ready" aya said rushing down the stairs.
"Took you forever. But aya aren't you nervous" I said.
"Not really Im just nervous people are going to judge us for our religion" aya said sadly.
"It's okay they shouldn't" I said wrapping my arm around her shoulders.
We got in the car and drove to school. When we got to school me and aya went to the office to get our schedules.
"Hello young ladies. You must be new. How may I help you" the kind office lady said.
"Umm we came to get our schedules for class" I said stuttering.
"Oh alright and what are y'all names" the lady asked.
I told her our names and she pulled up our records and our schedules.
"Here you are ladies. Have a good day" the lady said.
"T-thank you" I said grabbing mines and walking out.
"See Jayla I told you the people here are going to be nice to us" aya said cheerfully.
"Wait until they know our religion" I said rolling my eyes.
We parted ways and I headed to my first class. When I got to the door a boy was standing outside of it on the wall.
"Hi" I said waving at the boy.
He just looked at me disgusted and flipped me off. How rude 😾 .
I ignored him and walked in the class. When I came in everyone was staring.
"Uhh hello who are you" the teacher said with a attitude.
"I-im new" I said shyly.
"She can't even pronounce her words correctly" a boy blurted out.
The class started laughing.
"Hey Mike be nice for I put you out" the teacher snapped at him.
"Whatever" he said sitting back down.
"Anyways before I was interrupted...you can sit by vallyk...vallyk please raise your hand" the teacher said waving her ruler in her hand.
