Fate, something that seems destined to happen. There's no other time or way it could have happened it at this precise moment and precise way. No possible way of changing it, it can't be forced, and it is most definitely not in your hands

Chance, something that comes up unexpectedly, you were in the right place at that right time, otherwise it wouldn't have happened. Chance is fair, chance is an endless amount of possible yesterdays, todays and tomorrows, chance is ever changing, chance is unpredictable.

But what if chance became predictable, what if fate was in your hands, what if the rules were changed.

We started with two different people.

Polar opposites, if you will.

He believed in chance, fairness, he believed in endless possibilities and that everything is up to a roll of the dice. Where as she believed in fate, that everything in life was planned, pre-written, every little detail, every hair out of place, and every glance at a random stranger was meant to be.

But beliefs about the workings of the universe aside, once they saw each other the gap between two books in the book store their eyes connected and it felt like fate.

Or was it just the roll of a dice
