Logbook,
begin by saying that I never expected it.
A year had passed since that rock killer had "attached" itself to the Earth.
The scientists, whose reason for their collaboration at the time I did not understand, had not even approached with a ship to observe the meteorite.
I, on the other hand, had been recruited for the very first expedition.
And, right now, I find myself writing on the seat of a military plane.
At the training base, they didn't tell us what we found there. We were just told, to be careful of every single thing.
I was a little spy, who had to sneak into some kind of enemy base.
The pilot, perhaps the only person with a little heart I had found, was telling me about his family, perhaps to distract me.
-When they called me for this place, we were all shocked. My wife and son cried for hours, never wanting to accept the fact that I was leaving- he said.
Poor man.
I had no one, and I was sorry that he had been taken away from his family.
Perhaps, seeing my anguished face, he decided to focus only on flying.

An hour passed.
Meanwhile, the plane had had some small turbulence.
-There is something wrong- he suddenly exclaimed.
I had approached, and I saw a flashing light coming from a monitor.
After checking, I approached the pilot, and said:
-Thermic cameras detect high heat-.
-Well, we're almost there, maybe I'll have to drop it farther from the real landing point- he whispered.
- Don't worry, it's not a problem for me-, and I gave him a pat on the back.

Soon after, I was again looking out of one of the windows next to me.
Suddenly, the sea became an expanse of dry, cracked ground, and the sunlight was obscured by something gigantic.
- Here we are- the pilot exclaimed.
Yeah, I thought.

Gradually, we had subsided.
And, while there was a few centimeters left for the plane to land on the tutro, I had opened the door and got out.
The plane had taken off, but it didn't go away.
I, I approached that immense mass of rocks.

The closer I got, I felt the desire to touch him, get stronger.

But, in my head ... voices screamed ...

COME BACK!
BREED OF IDIOT! YOU WANT TO DIE?!

I repressed them, until they became a low murmur.
Meanwhile, I was just inches from the meteorite.
My hand did the rest ...
He lifted himself up and, with my fingers, I touched the rough surface of that object ...
And it exploded ...
