"In half an hour we have to go to the auditorium again, dressed in hiking clothes and shoes, and then three hours after that we are going to go back to the cabin to be able to change and shower and then go to eat another thirty minutes later in the cafeteria." Leigh-anne says, and I nod.

"Okay then. Unpacking it is." I say, and look to the other girls, but suddenly Jade gasps, a look of utter horror crossing her face, her hand resting at the base of her neck. She screams.

Jade

"What?! What is it?" Perrie asks me, her piercing blue eyes laced with concern. I take a shakey deep breath, my fingers running tentatively along my now bare neck.

"My-my locket. Its gone." I choke out, a lump in my throat. "It's.... it's very important to me." I say, my head bowed.

"Aw, no. Do you think it dropped somewhere?" Leigh-anne asks, her brows furrowed worriedly. I nod, moving to the door. Perrie, Jesy and Leigh-anne quickly follow me, and I give them a grateful look.

"Let's retrace our steps." Jesy says, and we close the door behind us, walking out into the clearing and down the path, our eyes scanning the ground.

"It could be anywhere." I say, feeling defeated after we had been walking along the trail for a few minutes.

"Let's at least go all the way to the auditorium." Perrie chimes in, her eyes glued to the ground. I nod in response, my hand still hovering above my neck. We eventually reach the auditorium, and there is still no trace of my necklace.

"Where were you sitting?" Jesy asks, climbing up the empty auditorium steps, the silent forest echoing with her voice.

"Over here." I say, and walk down a couple levels, till I reach my seat. I gasp, sinking to my knees, my eyes wide. My locket. I carefully pick it up, and then close my hand around it, as if it might somehow disappear again. I turn to the girls, who are all smiling, looking relieved.

"Thank you so much." I say, clasping the locket around my neck again. "It-it really means a lot." I tell them, and Jesy gives me a warm smile.

"It's okay. No trouble at all. I'm happy to help." Leigh-anne says, and Perrie nods enthusiastically to second Leigh-anne's words. She glances down at the necklace. "Am I overstepping to ask what's inside?" She asks carefully, but I shake my head, blinking a few times.

"Of course. Its a picture of my grandfather and me... we were very close." I say, my hand instinctively clutching the locket. I open it, and show them.

"Ohhh that's adorable

"Ohhh that's adorable." Jesy breaths, and both Perrie and Leigh-anne nod. I smile at them again, carefully closing the little capsule.

"Thanks again." I say, and they all nod again. Suddenly Perrie sucks in a sharp breath. I snap my head up to look at her, Jesy and Leigh-anne doing the same thing.
