I stood at the top of the hill. You could see the whole city from here, if you could even call it that anymore. More like the ruins, more fitting. I pushed tears forming at the corners of my eyes away with the back of my hand, I wasn't going to cry. This was anyone's fault but mine. The war had started suddenly, without warning, and I was left alone with no one to comfort me. at least there was that thing that followed me everywhere. To be honest, it was the only thing to keep me sane these days. I still don't know what it is. But it follows me, constantly keeping me on my toes.
