Mistakes

Part 3

We walked to his car and he opened the door to me. I told him thank you and he gave me a smile. We had been driving for a couple of minute when I asked him where we were going. He said it was a surprise. Some ideas popped in my head, a restaurant? A movie? When he stopped the car we were in at a park, he got out and walked over to open the door for me.

“Were at a park?” I asked him.

“Well it’s a very nice place at night,” he said as we walked around.

Later we arrived at a bench in front of a big lake, I sat down and he said he would be back in a sec. I just sat down looking at the stars, from where I was from we could see different type of stars, these looked even prettier for some reason. Then Callum sat next to me with a small kitten.

“Aww, Callum, it’s so cute!” I said as he handed me the small thing.

“She’s really nice, isn’t she?”

“Where’d you find her?” I asked as I stroked the small little creature.

“A couple of weeks ago, I check up on her every few days,” he said.

“How come you don’t take her home?”

“My parents are allergic that’s why, if they weren’t I would have kept it”

We kept talking for a while when the little kitten jumped off and walked away, after Callum drove me home and I gave him hug. I walked inside to my apartment room to see my mom and dad arguing, they didn’t notice I came in so I just changed into my pajamas and went to sleep.

My parents had enrolled me in school since I still had to learn, the students here had been on brake for a week, I was a bit nervous to start school, especially since I wouldn’t know anybody. I decided to wake up extra early to get ready, took my shower, brushed my teeth and ate breakfast, then I changed into a blue knitted top with ripped jeans and blue VANS..

We arrived at the school and they gave me the list for my classes, and some supplies to get started, my mom gave me some money for when if I got hungry. As we left the office a lady in the office handed me a slip to show the teachers when I arrived to class.

Every time I walked into a class everybody would stare at me, this made me feel uncomfortable, and when it was lunch I sat down by myself feeling like a complete loner. A girl about my age came to sit next to me, she had long reddish hair and her style was kinda like mine a black pullover sweater, she also has a pair of ripped jeans and black vans, she was followed by another girl with blond hair, she was wearing a ruffly mint tank light skinny jeans and golden sandals.

“Hi, sorry to bother. It’s just that you were alone, and we wanted to come and talk, my name is Alexa,” said the girl with red hair

“And my name is Aimée”, said the one with the blond hair, she had a sort of a French accent.

“Oh, well nice to meet you, my name is Gene,” I said giving them a smile.

I got to know these girls and found out they were really cool, plus that Aimée  didn’t speak  that much English. They looked at my schedule and saw that I had the rest of classes with them, which I thought was pretty cool considering that I had already made to new friends. I especially thought it was a bit funny that now I was going to have two friends named Alexa!

As I walked into my last class, Aimée and came into class laughing and told me to take the seat next to her since it was empty. We kept talking about movies we’ve seen, awkward dates, embarrassing moments, etc. after class was over Alexa was waiting for us outside, we walked for a while and took a taxi, I was the first to get dropped off.
