Short Story #1

3 1 1

Alexander walked up to his best friend of 2 years. he had met Gray 2 years ago when he started working at Cypress University.

"good morning Gray! are you excited for the next couple of days?" Alex asked happily as he hoisted his messenger bag back onto his shoulder. Gray only grunted in response as he sipped his coffee. they were waiting at the bus at 4 am for their students so they could get going.

"not a morning person eh?" Alex asked with a chuckle already knowing the answer to the question, Alexander sighed softly as he rubbed his shoulders, the morning chill getting to the young Art History teacher

"you cold?" Gray asked, speaking for the first time since he woke up that morning. He sighed and pulled Alexander closer to him and dug around in his bag for a hoodie, once he found one he tossed it at Alex

Alex caught the hoodie huffing a bit and set his things down and slipped the heavy sweater over his head, the Royal purple garment falling just mear inches above his knees

After a few minutes, students started to show up, and Alex greeted them and helped them get settled in on the charter bus.

after about an hour all the students had shown up and gotten on the bus.

Alexander had to sit next to Gray because so many students had shown up, a way better turn out than Alex or Gray had dared to hope for.

after many hours of being on a bus they got to their first stop; an art museum. they had a system set up, first step would be an Art museum so Alexander could do his thing, teach Art History, for the day. Then they would go to the hotel for dinner then in the morning, they would go to a regular museum so Gray could do his thing.

"...in 1932 the Blackwing 602 pencil was created by Eberhard Faber, the pencil and I quote was 'half the pressure, twice the speed'. the lead was dark, a lot like the lead of a charcoal pencil, and just about the same durability. most of you only write and draw with your standard 2b pencils, but the Blackwing 602 wrote a lot like a 3b pencil. It also had a feature that was completely unheard of at the time and that was a removable eraser so you could use the entire pencil. the Blackwing 602 was very popular, mostly because some very renowned names used it. for example; Stephen King, who has been considered one of the best horror authors of all time. the powerhouse that is Chuck Jones, who if you don't know, was the main animator for all of the looney tunes. then we got John Lennon from the Beatles and Walt motherfucking Disney!" Alexander lectured.

a few more hours pass and they are all back on the bus and headed for the Nimbus hotel. once they got to the hotel they unloaded the bus and got everyone checked into their rooms and because Collage is stingy with money Alex and Gray had to share a bed, much to Alexanders' excitement and Gray's disappointment.

they brought their bags to the room and gray just laid down on the bed and faced the wall and Alexander sat next to him

"Hey, Gray? can I ask you something?' Alexander asked softly and Gray just hummed in response so Alex just got dressed in sweatpants and a loose-fitting top, then crawled into bed. he looked over his shoulder at gray who was now building a wall of pillows between them

Gray finished the pillow wall then laid back down with his back to Alexander

Alex sighed sadly and soon fell asleep as he listened to grays soft snoring, he found it to be actually really cute . Gray had fallen asleep quite quickly

at some point in the night gray got cold and threw the pillows from the pillow wall on the floor and pulled alexander to his chest, burning hos face in Alexanders blondish brown hair, giving alex a few kisses on the cheek

"Alex? i really like you" he mumbled thinking the younger man was sleep

Alex blushed darkly and nuzzled into Grays broad chests, his heart pounding out of his chest but he didn't care, because gray really liked him, possibly even loves him
