The ride was suffocating as neither of them dared to start a conversation, well it did not last long as Derek pulled up in the school's parking lot, tapping Ella to bring her out of her thoughts . She jerked up immediately as though she's been hit by a bolt of lightening , she immediately regretted her action as she saw hurt flash through his face but he was quick to mask his emotion, as she was about to open the door, she felt a tug in her arm which stopped her from doing so.

"We need to talk" Derek said calmly , she looked at him carefully trying to figure out what he was thinking but failed as his face was void of any emotion. She nodded her head in support of what he said , she knew he was going to ask sooner or later, but she never expected it to be so soon.
"Uhhmmm we're here to get roura, we can talk later after picking her up, I can drop her at the neighbor's place and when we're done I'll go pick her up, is that okay with you?" "Sure no problem , do you want to talk at yours or she we go for dinner". "We'll talk at my place" she immediately got down from the car not waiting for his answer , scenarios conjured I'm her head as she was on her way to roura's class, thinking what sort of question he was going to ask, is he going to ask about their daughter or why she left, or why she never called. "Mommy!" roura screamed her mother's name trying to get her attention. Ella was brought out of her reverie as she felt aurora tugging at her feet. She didn't even know she has gotten to her class, she should really stop thinking cause she's been doing that a lot lately she thought to herself. She lifted her up gently as she peppered kisses on her face and the child giggled in return.
She lifted her head up to greet the class teacher, " Good afternoon Miss smith, I hope roura was good and did not cause any trouble" she got a grunt from the woman in return, not that it was surprising, it has been a usual routine when she comes to pick up her child, she had noticed upon the second day of her coming here that the young lady was a very grumpy woman, quite surprising for her age though cause she looked to be in her early twenties, but that didn't bother her from greeting her, she giggled to herself as she carried roura's bag and bag pack and began walking out of the class to the parking lot.
