It was a warm, late April day in Musutafu Japan and the cherry blossoms were in full bloom. The petals danced gracefully in the wind, captivating anyone who stopped to watch them fall. Watching the blossoms was one Sonya Yumeno, a third year at Mustafa Private Middle School. He tapped his fingers rapidly against the desk as the teacher collected the students' work, waiting for the school day to end so that he could tell his brother about the U.A. mock test and prepare himself for the entrance exams. His pointed ears twitched as the teacher cleared her throat, pulling his attention away from the window.

"You're all third years now, and it's time that you all start thinking seriously about your future." She paused to bring attention to a bundle of papers in her hand. "I want you all to fill out these handouts about your future plans before the end of the day and leave them on your desks, though I'm sure that most of you are planning on going to the hero course."

The class erupted into cheers, showing off their Quirks despite the strict rules of the school. The class was silenced by the teacher's stern glare as she went around the class to hand out the paper. When she was done she went back to her desk and clasped her hands together cheerfully.

"I would also like to congratulate two of our classmates for passing the U.A. mock exams. Mina Ashido and Yumeno Sonya passed with flying colours!" She said proudly.

The two named were instantly bombarded with admiration and wonder from their other classmates.

"I knew that you could do it Ashido!"

"I heard that Kirishima and Kayano passed to! Man I'm jealous."

"I always knew you were going to ace it Sonya. Even if people said you would get Rejected because of your dads- Ow! hey!"

The classmate was silenced by a harsh smack to the back of his head by the student next to him.

"Dude!" He hissed, "you seriously need to learn how to shut up!"

Choosing to ignore the comment, Sonya rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly, his face unchanging. "Thanks, I studied really hard for this," he said, trying to turn the conversation away from his fathers. A voice in his head echoed.

"You should hurt that guy"

"Shut up"

"I bet, I took the mock test too but I completely blew it. I think I'm gonna try to get into Ketsubutsu Academy instead."

Another student scoffed and joined the conversation. "Ketsubutsu? You'd have a better chance getting into Seijin than the School that's rivals with U.A."

Sonya stopped listening to the two students after the conversation turned into an argument, and instead decided to focus on his paper. The bell rung soon after and the class was dismissed. Sonya excitedly hopped his way to the school gates, wanting to get home as soon as possible to tell his brother the good news. As he walked closer to the gates he could see a crowd starting to form, blocking his way out. As he slowly manoeuvred his way through the sea of people he could hear the whispers of his schoolmates.

This wasn't new, being the child of two Villains was enough to make anyone stare, but being the child of two Villains and trying to get into the most renowned hero school in all of Japan would get people talking. Sonya ignored the whispers (and the voice in his head telling him to make an example of them) and waded through the sea of people, mumbling an apology whenever he bumped into someone. When he made it out the other side he saw a familiar mess of black and white hair and smiled gratefully. His brother was standing by the side of the school entrance, hands folded in front of his chest in waiting. The person in question waved when he caught sight of his younger brother, greeting him with a fist bump.
