A month later was the day Sienna would go to the Leolerith Kingdom and meet the guy she'd be dating. They'd be arriving that evening just in time for the Levisay's (the family who ruled Leolerith) dinner party.
Sienna got dressed in a purple dress that fell just below her knees. It was the kind you'd see a flower girl wearing at a wedding. She hated wearing big, pouffy dresses. This was the best her mother had gotten her to wear. She wore her hair in a bun and on top of her head stood a little silver tiara.
She washed her face in the bathroom before they headed out into the limo. The cool water felt good against her dark skin. She stood in the mirror for a moment looking at the petrified girl standing in front of her.
"Sienna! It's time to go!" her mom called from downstairs. "Coming!" Sienna called after her. She hurried downstairs and said goodbye to her sisters and father.
She headed into the limousine, lost in her thoughts. She wondered if the Levisay family was nice. They were making her marry their son, which made her wonder, but then again her father was the one who agreed to this whole horrific situation, so who's the one to blame? Sienna looked out the window as if it would give her an answer.
But of course, the window didn't. All it showed were zooming cars, tall green trees, and big buildings passing by.
She ran her hand against the smooth leather in the limo. She was tempted to rip her painful heels off, but she didn't. Her mother would've killed her anyway.
Sienna flattened out her dress. She hoped this would be like a big fairytale. Love at first sight, get married to a man you just met, and have a happily ever after....
"Sienna!"
"Hm?"
"We're here."
Sienna had barely even noticed. She didn't know how much time had gone by. She glanced out the window at a tall stone, brick castle. She saw three people standing in front of it, and from what Sienna could see, they were the king and queen of Leolerith, and the prince of her "fairytale". Her butler opened the door to let her out.
"Thank you, Mr. Potts." she said kindly to the butler.
"At your service."
She looked up at the castle in front of her. She looked at the vines covering its tired old bricks. As she was looking, she saw what seemed to be a boy in one of the windows. Sienna knew that the Levisay family had only one child, so she quickly looked again and saw no boy. She guessed it was only a figment of her imagination, but the sight remained in the back of her head.
"Ah, you must be Princess Sienna!" the king boomed. He bowed. Sienna curtsied.
"Hello!" the queen spoke. She was skinny and had a lot of wrinkles. Sienna noticed a dragon imprinted on her gloves. "I am Queen Maria, I am pleased to meet you."
They both curtsied.Sienna gulped. She knew who was next.
The boy bowed, "Welcome to the Leolerith Kingdom, my name is Brandon."
Brandon had dark brown hair and blue eyes, and wore dark blue coat around a black tunic. His eyes seemed to glisten in the sun. Most girls would say he was attractive, which they weren't wrong, but Sienna didn't particularly think him to be too handsome.
She curtsied for the third time, "It's nice to meet you all."
Her mom also introduced herself with a smile. How can someone look so happy at such a time like this?, Sienna thought.
