Chapter 13

"CRIS?! " someone exclaimed, calling me and shaking me lightly.

I turned around and squeezed to Athan's arms.

"What the?! Cris wake up! " she said, but her voice is cracking. "I need you. " she whispered, and her hands tightened their grip on my arms.

I decided to turn my back to her. And she's Lorna. What happened? Is there a problem between Brent and her?

"Let's talk in the backyard. " I said, wiping her tears.

"No. Please, anywhere else." She cried.

"Okay. Okay. I'll drive you to Mcdo. " I patted her head and stood up and entered my walk-in closet.

I just changed my clothes . I'm wearing a black tank top and a plain gray bat vest, paired with a white short. I grabbed my flats and we get going.

We used my mini cooper . And the ride is silent. Not at all, because she's crying. I think it makes her cry more because of the music. It's I'm not the only one by Sam Smith. So I decided to turn the music off.

"Stop crying Lorns. " I said, giving her the tissues.

"Thank you." She said, with a shaky tone. Poor Lorna.

After 25 minutes, we arrived in the McDonald.

"Goodmorning. " the guard greeted us. I flashed a smile at him.

There are few people in here. Well, maybe it's just 2 am.

I pulled Lorna's hand and walked to the chair beside the mirror.

"Take a seat. I'll go order." I told her. I patted her back, walking away.

What really happened? She's okay earlier. Pfft.

"Hello ma'am. May I have your order please? " the crew smiled brightly.

"Hello. " I flashed a smile to her. "Two burger McDo, two large fries, two McFloat, and two apple pie. "

She typed it with that something like computer and I paid.

It's been 10 minutes and the two of us are not talking. And of course, I decided to make the first move.

"Lo- " I was going to call her name but I choked because of the freaking Burger!

Lorna started laughing and I too laughing even though I'm crying because of that freaking piece of burger stocked in my throat. And finally, I had the chance to gulp some drink.

"Aysh! " I rolled my eyes. Lorna giggled and continued eating. "So I was saying, Lorna? What happened?" I asked. And the atmosphere around us got serious and sorrowful. Hahahaha wtf sorrowful? Hahahaha.

"Uhm. Please don't tell anyone. " she said, looking straight into my eyes.

"Yew. Of course. You can tru-" I didn't had the chance to continue with what I am saying because my phone suddenly rang. "Wait. " I told Lorna.

"Hello? Lisa?"

"Cris? Greg's im the hospital. " she said. Wtf?

"What?! " my voice raised and my eyes widened. "Okay okay. We'll be there in 10 minutes." I said and hang up.

"What happened? " Lorna asked.

"Greg's in the hospital. "

"What the?! Let's go. " she pulled me and rushed into the car.
