One sided | Chensung

《One》

The sunrise evaded the darkness of the night, sunbeams shining through the dark curtains hanging on the windows, inside the room of two, still sleeping, males.

It was another usual morning for Chenle and his best friend Donghyuck, with whom he shares an apartment with. It was Monday morning and the annoying sound of the alarm clock on the nightstand next to the youngers bed caused him to wake up from his peaceful sleep.

He reached over to turn the alarm off before he slightly sat up, pulled the sleeves of his sweatshirt over his hands and rubbed his eyes to try and get himself awake before Donghyuck would wake up. He looked over to his best friend and saw that the older was still soundly asleep, so he tried to stand up and walk to the bathroom as quiet as he could without waking him up.

As he was entering the bathroom he yawned and closed the door behind him so the noise wouldn't get to Donghyuck, Chenle then looked at himself in the mirror that was hanging over the sink and stroked his fingers trough his hair to get it kinda into place since his hair was looking like a mess, typical morning hair. Chenle grabbed himself a towel and undressed himself so he could take a quick shower.

After he finished showering he started doing his usual morning routine including washing his face, putting face products on and what else there is to do. He decided to not dry his hair with the hairdryer since he wasn't sure if his roommate was already awake, he then dried his hair a bit with the towel he used, before putting it to the rest of the dirty laundry and going back to his room.

As Chenle was entering the room he saw Donghyuck already sitting on his bed, leaning against the wall looking trough his phone. The elder looked up and a sweet smile rose up on his face, "Good morning sweetheart," were the first words he heard from his best friend early in the morning that caused his lips to curve up into a smile as well. "Good Morning sleeping beauty, did you have a nice sleep?" The younger asked looking over at his friend as he was sitting down on his own bed while grabbing his phone.

Donghyuck put his phone aside and looked at the younger one across from him. "I had an amazing sleep, thanks honey. How about you? I hope you slept well too," he said giving him the sweetest smile that exists. Chenle could only mirror his action and smile at his friend while he nodded. Donghyuck proceeded to stand up and stretch himself before walking to the door of their room, "Imma go to the bathroom real quick to get myself ready, if you want to, you can already go to the kitchen to eat something. I'll join you when I'm finished," he smiled again and walked to the bathroom at the end of their hallway.

The younger took some minutes for himself to look trough his phone, processing to text his other friends that should most likely be awake already. He then stood up and walked to the kitchen, today he decided to do some classical breakfast including fried eggs, bacon and toast so that his best friend Donghyuck would have something to eat as well. Chenle knew that the elder would take a while in the bathroom and that he barely would have any time left to eat something before leaving for school, the younger was always the one telling his friend to eat something before leaving the house cause he would always forget which leads to him being hungry till their first break.

Donghyuck finally came to the kitchen after he finished showering and doing his own stuff and sat down in front of Chenle. He happily looked at the things plated on the table and instantly smiled at his younger friend. "Thank you so much Lele, what would I just do without you," Donghyuck said before digging in. A smile crept onto Chenles lips as he looked proudly at his friend sitting in front of him. "Well, I think you would be dying out there or something," the younger said with a little smirk before putting his plate into the sink and walking to their room to look for something to wear to school.

As Chenle finally finished dressing up Donghyuck walked into the room looking around, then walking to his dresser to pick something casual out to wear. Both finished getting ready and grabbed their bags, the younger turned around to look at the slightly taller one. "You wanna walk or take the bus?" Donghyuck thought for a while before deciding that they should just walk since the bus takes a while to arrive at their stop.

The males walked out of their small but cozy apartment and started walking to school, Chenle looked at the time and noticed that they still had half an hour left before they needed to be at school and the way to school only takes them 15 minutes so the younger one had an idea to suggest. "Wanna go to a convenience store real quick before going to school?" Donghyuck looked at him and a small smirk formed on his lips. "Why do you even ask, let's go"

The two bubbly males arrived at the store while breathing heavily since they ran to the store, they made a bet. Whoever arrives last needs to pay for himself and for the other, Chenle was the one arriving last but he still gave the slightly taller one a sweet smile, "Just choose what you want, I was gonna pay for you either way," hearing that made the older giggle and hug his best friend. "I know that I can always count on my sweet little baby," the younger just laughed and pulled Donghyuck into the store. They were casually walking around the store choosing this and that before going to the cashier to pay.

Leaving the store they looked at the time and widened their eyes. "We only have 10 minutes left!" was the first thing Donghyuck said before fastening his pace. Thankfully they arrived right on time since they sprinted to school, sitting in the classroom next to their friends while breathing heavily they received questioning looks. Both males just shrugged it and tried their bests to catch their breaths before their teacher would walk into the classroom.

Packing out all their stuffs, they leaned back in their chairs and looked at each other before laughing silently. "That was close, I can't believe we still made it in time," Donghyuck looked at Chenle and just laughed while nodding, their friends still not knowing a thing that happened before they arrived. Renjun looked at YangYang with a confused expression that the younger could only mirror as he shrugged his shoulders. The eldest tapped Chenles shoulder so he would get the attention of the younger.

"What were you two doing before arriving at school?" he said with a raised eyebrow. The younger just smiled and started explaining everything that had happened from the moment they left their apartment till the moment they arrived at school. The elder just shook his head while a small giggle left his mouth, "This is actually so typical of you both but that makes you too so close to each other," Renjun said smiling while patting the males head lightly.

The four best friends talked about anything that came into their minds, but their focus quickly drifted to the front as their teacher entered their classroom. "Okay children, go to your seats we're going to continue were we left of last week so please take out your books and notes," sighs and mumbling could be heard in the whole classroom before everyone got quiet as their teacher looked at all of them to indicate that they should be quiet and concentrate on the lesson he was teaching at the front.
