First things first: This is not a love story.
It's about love, yes, but not about falling inexplicably and terribly in love.
Most love stories like to tell us that " all you need is love" – which is not true – and that "you'll find someone someday!". If you look to practically any famous literary love stories, you'll find they rarely ever have happy endings.
If tragedy, heartache, and clichés are what you're looking for, read about Romeo and Juliet or Tristan and Isolde. Spoiler: They all die at the end. It's incredibly romantic.
But this story is not about that.
This story is about these stupid, useless, and annoyingly indescribable things called feelings.
It's about identity, choices, and the hardships of growing up, all while balancing family, friends, school, and hobbies.
This is the story of a seventeen-year-old boy called Park Seonghwa, shown through brief snapshots of his life leading up to his eighteenth birthday.
A/N: Inspired by Heather by Conan Gray and On Track by Stray Kids. Based on actual conversations I've had with my friends, my own experiences being seventeen and trying to figure out who I am. Basically me projecting but what's new. A two-shot. Probably. I don't know yet. It's messy. But hopefully relatable.
