Muted Cries (A SOKEEFE FANFIC)

Part 5- Keefe

Keefe was surrounded, there was no way that he could escape 10-no 13 members of the Neverseen with their ogres (and probably dwarves underground) with just his Mom-who might not even be on his side. 

"What's the plan?" Keefe hissed to his mother. 

Lady Gisela smirked and walked up to Gethen who held a meddler in front of him, pointed at her. 

"My dear Gethen, calm down. I've recruited my son-and his wife to our side. And even better news, the Moonlark is expecting." Lady Gisela smiled when the Neverseen members gasped. 

Keefe sucked in a breath, his mother had just shared the piece of  information that was supposed to be hidden from the Neverseen to keep Sophie and the baby safe. Hate poured out of him, why, oh why did he trust his mother?

"Is it true?" a man spoke. 

"Yes." Lady Gisela said, her face breaking into a wider smile. "Now-"

A loud crack cut her off, and Keefe glimpsed his wife fall out of a void. Keefe shook his head, he was so dumb to invite her, she was having a baby! Why did he tell her to come?!

"Stop!" she shouted, running up the hill with Fitz, Tam (not Biana, she was probably home with Abrick), Maruca, Marella, Dex, Linh, Wylie, Mr. Forkle (wow that one was a surprise), and Sandor and Ro, and wait. was that King Dimatar and Bo???. 

Relief swam through Keefe, the bodyguards would keep Sophie safe. 

The Neverseen fired the weapons, but Maruca put up a forcefield, smirking. Lady Gisela stomped her foot, and 3 of the Neverseen's dwarves tunneled up from the ground.  Maruca put the forcefield down, and the fight broke out, the ogres fighting each other and Keefe punch his mother down, blasting her with his meddler and ripped off the gadget that Dex had made for him, to control his commanding (as his friends called it). He hated this ability, but he knew that he had use it to keep Sophie safe. 

"Surprise!" a woman shouted, and there was Biana appearing out of thin air, punching a member of the Neverseen back, and he flew far-thanks to the Sucker-Punch.

Keefe took a deep breath, and signaled to his friends to put their ear plugs in. And he shouted. "NUMB!"

The Neverseen-and their ogres and dwarves-looked stuck as they slumped to the ground, and terror poured through Keefe's veins as he saw what he did. 

"Unnumb them Keefe!" a voice called from behind him, and he gasped. Lady Gisela had a firm hold on Sophie's arms and had a meddler pointing to her head. 

"How...how did you.." he whispered. 

"Honestly Keefe, did you think I would let you numb me? I gave you the ability, I can block it." his mother held out to sparkly ear plugs in her free hand. 

Lady Gisela ripped out Sophie's ear plugs and said, "You have two choices, unnumb them, or I will shoot her. And we don't want to hurt your precious baby do we? The choice seems clear to me." her smile made him want to vomit. 

"Shut up!" Keefe screamed.

Ro clicked her tongue, speaking for the first time. "Wow Lady Creepypants has really stepped up her game. I mean Blondie can just zap her with her crazy red beam!"

Sophie shook her head. "Please don't let them get away."

Tears welled in Keefe's eyes. "I have to." 

Sophie shook her head and her beautiful voice filled his mind.
