(hi, sorry for being gone for so long. This chapter is...well, there's definitely triggers. This one has abuse, gore, and swears. This is not canon to the actual game, I just like seeing characters suffer. Not actual people, but characters. This is also a very long chapter so...bear 🐻 with me)
(With that being said, enjoy)
Devil felt an odd feeling. He knew it was partially cause he was entering Dice's mind but it still felt odd. He felt wind as if he were falling and-
Wait-
Falling?
Devil opened his eyes and looked down to find he was falling. His eyes went wide, being as this has never happened. He instinctively let out a scream as he fell, only to quiet down when he realized he would most likely survive the fall. He landed sooner than he thought, letting out an "oof" as he hit the ground. He rubbed his head and looked around to find...
Nothing...
Devil looked around to make sure and he could confirm it was a black empty void, and yet...he could see himself. He looked around and saw a door. It was a single door. He got up and walked to the door. As he approached he heard yelling and screaming. He opened the door and saw two dice headed people standing there, yelling at a young boy. There was a man and a women, the woman having a lit cigarette in her mouth and they both seemed angry with the boy. Devil assumed they were the boys parents since they were angry with the boy. Devil looked closer and realized the boy was Dice. After putting two and two together he realized the two people were Dice's parents.'Does...Dice have nightmares about his childhood?' he thought to himself as he watched. He knew he wouldn't be seen so he didn't care to be hidden. He walked closer to hear what they were saying. As he got closer he heard more of the conversation being played out.
"-shouldn't be so fuckin' stupid! Then ya wouldn't 'ave thought that was a good idea!" Dice's father yelled in a heavy southern accent.
"I-I'm sorry pa, I just-"
"DON'T YA FUCKIN' DARE TALK BACK TO ME, BOY!" The man yelled as he raised a hand. Dice flinched as the hand balled up into a fist and came down. Devil watched in horror as Dice fell to the ground, a bruise forming on the side of his head. Dice's mother dragged him to his feet and yanked him over to the chair. Dice was crying and pulling, trying to get her to let go. Devil couldn't change the past so all he could do was watch in horror.
"You need to learn what happens you talk back, Dicey." The mother said taking the lit cigarette out her mouth. She grabbed his right arm roughly, ignoring his pleas and cries, and stabbed the lit cigarette in his arm. He let out a scream and was silenced immediately by a slap from his mother. She took the cigarette out her mouth and pushed him to the floor. He fell back and he held his arm, blood falling from the burn.
"Now. Get to your damn room and don't come out for the rest of the night, ya hear me ya fucker?" Dice's father said, kicking him. Dice gasped and grabbed his stomach, silent tears falling from his eyes. He shakingly got up and limped to what Devil assumed was his room. Devil looked at them in horror, shock, and anger. Devil walked to Dices room and, with the power of the mind, went through the door.
He saw Dice crying into the pillow that laid on the bed. Devil walked over and sat on the bed next to him. He then heard a low whisper. Apperantly Dice heard it as well and looked up and faced the closet, a scared look in his eyes. Devil turned to see what Dice was looking at and stopped in shock. A shadow-like figure was standing at the doorway of the closet. Devil heard a gasp then the sound of the pillow and when Devil looked at Dice he saw Dice had covered his face in the pillow. The shadow figure walked closer to Dice.
"W̷h̵y̵ ̶d̶o̶ ̷y̴o̶u̵ ̵l̵o̵o̸k̷ ̷a̷w̴a̴y̶ ̵f̶r̴o̷m̶ ̵m̸e̴,̷ ̴D̴i̵c̷e̴?̸ " The shadow figure said in a low, deep, whispery voice. Dice looked up at the figure.
"C-cause I don't like you!" Dice said and hurried his face back in the pillow.
"A̷r̶e̷n̷'̵t̶ ̸w̸e̴ ̶f̷r̸i̷e̶n̶d̷s̸ ̸t̴h̸o̸u̷g̷h̸?̶ " The figure asked, approaching closer to he bed. Devil leaped up and stepped back. He was surprised Dice knew this figure, cause he didn't.
"W-we were friends...then you got mean." Dice said in a low voice.
"Y̴o̵u̴r̴ ̴p̵a̷r̷e̴n̵t̵s̸ ̴a̸r̴e̸ ̷m̴e̵a̵n̵ ̴a̶l̵l̷ ̵t̶h̸e̶ ̴t̶i̸m̸e̶,̸ ̷b̶u̸t̶ ̶t̸h̴e̵y̷'̸r̷e̵ ̴s̶t̴i̸l̶l̷ ̷y̴o̸u̵r̸ ̴p̸a̴r̷e̶n̸t̸s̶.̴ ̷S̶o̸ ̶w̴h̴y̸ ̶c̸a̷n̴'̴t̷ ̷w̸e̴ ̶b̷e̷ ̶f̷r̴i̶e̷n̵d̸?̵ " The figure responded. The figures voice didn't remain cold like Devil thought. It got...softer. Almost nicer, and trustworthy. If Devil didn't have this anxious feeling in his stomach he would have trusted the figure, but he wasn't sure about Dice.
"D-Dont t-try to play games with me! I-I know your tricks! You t-try to use that soft voice and then make me do something horrible! Wanna know why? C-Cause your evil!" Dice said looking back up at the shadow, eyes in an angered look. Devil look in surprise at Dice then looked at the shadow, a low growl rising in his throat. The shadow looked at him and, to Devil's surprise, started to chuckle. The chuckle turned to a laugh. Dice looked scared at the shadow as they laughed. The shadow stopped laughing and let out a sigh.

"I-"

"O-Ok, deal." Dice said, taking the shadows hand. Devil's heart ached as he realized that the shadow didn't mean he'd be gone forever. He wanted to leave but stayed to see what happened.
"What is it you can help with?" Dice asked timidly.
"W̸h̴y̸,̷ ̸l̵e̷t̶'̵s̶ ̷s̶e̷e̴ ̵h̴e̷r̴e̴.̷.̴.̸a̵b̴o̶u̶t̵.̸.̷.̴y̷o̵u̸r̷ ̴p̵a̶r̶e̸n̸t̴s̴.̵ " The shadow said, a grin in his voice. The light in Dice's eyes faded out and a look of horror swept his face.
"W-what do you mean?" Dice asked.

Dice looked hesitant. Then the nervous look in Dice's eyes faded to another look. It quickly faded as Dice shook his head so Devil couldn't tell what it was. Dice looked back up at the shadow, his face darkened.
"What do you mean?" He said, his voice hard and cold. If the shadow had a face Devil would have been sure he was smiling.

"Are...are you saying I should...." Dice asked hesitantly.
