Sugawara's pov

"Come on everyone off the bus!" Daichi claps as we walk down and into Aoba Johsai.

"Ok. Kageyama, some extra milk, Tsukishima, tape, Hinata make sure to try the bathroom ok?" I stood in front of everyone in the borrowed locker room.

"Sure whatever." Tsukishima grabs the tape.

"Mhm." Kageyama reaches into my bag and takes his milk. As Hinata nods and runs out of the room.

----------

Once everyone was ready to go out and play I made sure to pick up any trash they left on the floor before exiting myself.

"Hello, the name is Iwaizumi." The ace of Aoba Johsai introduced himself to us.

"Nice to meet you." Daichi said.

"Our captain should be here later." Iwaizumi then turned around and headed to finish warming up with his team.

"I'm playing right Sugawara-san?" Kageyama came up to me. I thought about it. I want him to get the feeling of playing a real game. He should also get comfortable with the team. It would be the right thing to do right? Yeah, I shouldn't be selfish. He deserves to play as much as I do. Plus his skill is natural. Probably prodigy level high.

"Can you hurry up and decide?" He snickered, clearly annoyed.

"Yeah sure, I don't mind. Get us some good points ok?" He didn't bother letting me finish my sentence before turning around and high fiving Hinata. I let out a sigh and headed towards the bench.

"You sure you want to give up your spot?" Daichi came up to ask me. Feeling pleased to know he cared I responded honestly.

"Yeah, I'm not necessary." I tell him. He seemed like he was going to say something until a whistle blew indicating that they were about to start the match.

----------

Towards the end of the second set we heard people around screaming. A cluster of girls waving towards a pretty brunette.

"Who's he?" Hinata questioned while squirting water into his mouth.

"Tooru Oikawa. My senpai from middle school. He is highly skilled, their captain, and main setter." Kageyama answered and took a sip out of the milk carton I bought earlier.

I smile knowing he was actually drinking it and then view the other side. Aoba Johsai's captain sure was a pretty boy.

We locked eyes for a couple seconds until I looked away to stop Tanaka and Nishinoya from getting too loud because they were jealous of all the fangirls.

----------

Once the next set started I paid close attention to this Oikawa, Kageyama talked about.

His jersey of course had the number 1 in aqua, representing his school colors. He walked with confidence and strength. He probably gave a pep talk to his team mates and then stood in position to serve.

His serve was flawless. Incredible. I wish I had that much... skill... and power. Everyone is just better than me. Sooner or later I will have to accept that fact.

I still couldn't take my eyes off of the brunette with fluffy hair.

In the end we managed to take back the final set and win the match. I got up and saw that Oikawa came over with some other people from his team including Iwaizumi.

"Sup, Tobio-chan!" He smirked towards our setter.

"What's with you?" He gestured towards me. It shocked me. I was feeling invisible at the time, just watching from the sidelines. So being called out was a shock.

"What do you mean?" I questioned him.

"Well, you're the official setter and a third year no? Tobio-chan is just a first year, you probably have more experience with both second and third years on your team." Oikawa didn't let his sly smirk fall.

"I suppose you're correct but that doesn't matter now. Kageyama is clearly better and can hold his own on the court." I tell him.

"Yeah and we won." Kageyama huffed and turned around without another word.

"Thank you for the match." I quickly told him before realizing everyone already started heading back to the locker room.

He grabbed and yanked my wrist so I wouldn't be able to take another step forward.

"Tell your team they're invited by me to the Johzenji party." He gave me the rest of the details before letting go of my wrist. I thanked him for the invite and returned to the locker room only to see everyone left to get on the bus already.

Oikawa's pov

"That's sad Iwa-chan." I tell him while watching Karasuno's official setter walk into the locker room only to find his team left him behind.

"It is. It truly is but that happens sometimes." Iwa-chan grabbed my shoulder as we walked back to our locker room with Makki and Mattsun behind us following.

----------

"Why'd you invite them anyway?" Iwa-chan asked as we sat at the table eating dinner with Takeru and my older sister Aki.

"You invited people to a party, Uncle Tooru? You haven't done that in awhile." Takeru snickered.

"Yes. I did. I found that official Karasuno setter, Mr. Refreshing, interesting." I played with my food with my fork.

"You mean pretty." Iwa-chan and Aki said in unison, making my cheeks flush.

"Stop! I don't even know his name!" I tell them.

----------

"Bye Iwa-chan." Iwa-chan left a couple hours later after we hung out and did homework in my room after dinner. We've been like this since forever.

"Goodnight Aki, Takeru." I tell them and head back upstairs to my room.

I lay on my all white bed and stare at my galaxy green walls. I stare at the soothing green galaxy as I flop onto my bed and stare at my ceiling which was scattered with glow in the dark star stickers.

I stayed laying down for a couple minutes trying to reflect on today's game. All the flaws and tweaks I'd have to work on for next time. I then get up and stuff my bag for tomorrow's school day and change into a pink sweater and grey sweatpants for bed. I turn off the lights and see my stars glow from above.

Soon enough as I moved the covers I fell asleep thinking about a gray haired boy who played as the official setter of Karasuno. A boy who I want to know more about, a boy who was clearly in pain, a boy I wanted to help. Hopefully he does come to the party so we can speak again, was my last thought before my mind went blank.
