Oikawa's pov

After dropping off Suga-chan at his school I drove to mine.

"Great." Everyone was smirking at me as I entered the gym. I presume Iwa-chan told everyone about Suga-chan.

"So mean Iwa-chan."

"Yeah, yeah. Let's go Shittykawa." He closes his locker door and we walk into the gym only to hear a thud and crack.

"Oh shit! GAH!" Yahaba yelled in pain. We ran over to check on him.

"What's wrong." I sat next to him and examined his right leg.

"Crap. Your ankle looks broken. This is bad." Iwa-chan said.

"Shittykawa can't play a whole set without injuring his knee more. But now our second setter broke his ankle." Iwa-chan mumbled to himself and covered his face with his hands.

"What will we do now?"

Sugawara's pov

Remember what Oikawa told you. Stop being nice. It's ok to not want to talk to Daichi. Just go in. This may be my first time being late but I should own it.

"Suga, you're late!" Daichi yelled from across the gym.

"Whatever." I said as they all stared at me in shock. That's right! Just manifest Oikawa vibes.

I changed in the locker room and then went out to practice. But today during practice I didn't compliment anybody. I didn't talk to anybody. I didn't look around and watch people to text them later. No, I won't be used like a tool that doesn't even need to be used.

----------

Once practice finished I texted my mom. I told her I wanted to go to Aoba Johsai. She said it wasn't a bad school and that it would only take another day to transfer.

I won't even bother telling the team. I don't just need a wardrobe makeover but I need a new perspective. New friends. A new life.

I walked home feeling good. Of course I couldn't change the fact that my parents still don't care much but that's fine. I'll start with a new school first. Maybe after a couple more changes they'll notice me.

After I was ready for bed I called Oikawa. Iwaizumi and he gave me Makki and Mattsun's numbers along with theirs.

"Hey Suga-chan what's up?" He sounded happy but I could tell something was wrong.

"Well I want to know what's wrong now?" I told him and I could hear him sigh.

"I told you about my knee injury right?"

"Yeah. What's wrong? Did it get worse? Are you in pain?" There I go again. Too nice. But Oikawa deserves it. I know that for sure.

"No, no, Suga-chan. I mean it could, it's just that. Well Yahaba, our second year setter broke his ankle and won't be able to play for awhile. So the team is scared to put me in to play for too long because if I get injured too, we'll be setter less. How'd you tell something was wrong anyway?" He asked.

"Well us Pluto people have to stick together." I hear him laugh.

"But I wanted to tell you that I'm officially going to Aoba Johsai." I could hear him gasp.

"Wait! Really! No way!"

"Yes Oi-chan."

"That's amazing! I can't wait!"

"Maybe I can try out for your team and fill in that setter spot." I hear another gasp from the other side of the phone.

"That'd be great Suga-chan!" We ended up talking for a while before we decided to call it a night.

----------

I awoke to no notifi- yes notifications! A good morning text from Oikawa. I texted him back just remembering I didn't text anyone from the team last night. Of course I texted with Oikawa and the other 3 confirming my transfer. They all seemed genuinely excited and happy. They made me feel wanted.

I got ready and headed off to school. I went to the principal's office to get some last minute transferring stuff done and then headed to the gym being late once again.

Doesn't matter, today's my last day here anyway.

"Morning." I sigh as I enter the gym as all eyes stare at me as I keep walking.

"Hey Suga-senpai, are you ok?" Hinata walked over to me as I was changing in the locker room.

"Yeah, why wouldn't I be?" I put on a white t-shirt.

"Well, yesterday, you didn't text anyone and this is the second day in a row that you came here late." He told me. Do they care? No it doesn't matter anymore. I'll push through. I'll be gone tomorrow, I can't care now. They can't care now.

"I'm just not feeling too well." Lie.

"Oh ok." He beams and runs out back into practice. They can't see through my lies like Oikawa can.

I walked out only to hear my phone go off. It's most likely a spam call like usual. I've never actually picked up my phone during practice but when I saw Oikawa's name I grabbed my phone at lightning speed scaring Tsukishima who was drinking water.

"Sorry, I have to take this." I have the biggest smile on. I've never actually said that before.

I walk out of the gym and put the phone to the side of my face.

"Hello."

"Hey Suga-chan, let's have a sleepover later. My place, I'll pick you up from practice. We can have some drinks as celebration for finally being transferred to Aoba Johsai. Of course not so much to the point we're drunk since we do have school but please? I'll invite Mattsun, Makki, and Iwa-chan too!" I heard from the other side of the phone making me giggle.

"A sleepover with drinks?"

"Yes, yes, with the other third years from the team please~?" He pleads. This is a first. I haven't been to a sleepover since middle school and we definitely didn't drink. I trust Oikawa. I need a 'bad boy' phase. Maybe it'll be fun.

"Fine, fine." I tell him as he squeals.

"Ok, one more thing before I have to hang up. Can I come inside the gym to see everyone's faces? Oh god that'll be amazing. I walk in to get you, oh pretty please Suga-chan?"

"I can see you pouting from all the way over here. Sure, that will be a funny sight." I tell him.

"Great, see you after practice!" Then the call ended.

I walk back into the gym, once again all eyes on me. I wave my hand awkwardly and head to a volleyball to begin my own practice.
