1. Middle of Nowhere

A colorful ring rang out in the small room.

I awoke to silence, and darkness of outside. I turned over to my tablet.

5:00.

I sighed, and rolled onto my back. 'school day.'

I sat up quickly, and leaned over to the light switch, turning the overhead light on. Light filled the room, and blinded me for a second.

I stood up, and grunted.

My room didn't have much of anything in it. my mattress just layed on the floor, no bed frame. Spotted blue carpet flooring, and two windows, one in front of my bed, and another higher up on the right. A handmade multishelf built into the wall was under the window in front of me. My room's door was right next to my bed, on the left. And finally on the left, there was a huge closet, which held all my clothes and my baby sister's clothes.

My room was pretty small. I looked into my closest, and grabbed some clothes. 'Almost out of clean clothes.'

It's kinda hard to do laundry when it's late fall, heading into winter, and you don't have a dryer, just a washing machine.

I put on my layers of warm clothing: thin sweater, thick sweater, fuzzy pink hoodie. I would put on my snow jacket later. For now, I had to get all my school things together.

Tommy was playing on the dream SMP, enjoying his time treaming. It was evening, and the chat was begging him.

"Okay, okay guys! I'll read some!"

They were begging for tommy to read shipfics of him. Mostly x reader's. The cringy ones.

"But I'm not reading lemon. Hell no."

He went to wattpad, and turned his screen to the browser.

"What exactly should I search gang?"

"Search for super cringe tommy fanfiction."

 Dream was in a Discord call with tommy, joining in with his escapades.

Tommy laughed out loud, chat laughing along with him with lols.

"I think I'll just search TommyInIt x reader."

Mom closed the front door behind me. It was freezing cold, and i was wearing all my layers, including the snow jacket. It made me wonder why it wasn't showing yet.

We walked off the patio and to the property gate.

My family had recently bought this property, with help from my big brother, whom was in the military. It was my mom's dream. How, we where here.

Although, the struggles were real. No internet, no cable, not even cell service! We were trying to work on it, but no one really wanted to help.

My mom opened the gate, and we walked to the bus stop.

The nearest high school was a little more than 30 minutes away from where I lived. It had a really werid schedule. you would go to public school two days a week, then online learning the rest of the week.

But as you already figured out, the distance stuff was difficult to get done.

We waited.

"Here we go, boys. Into uncharted territory." Tommy watched the screen load, and was greeted by covers that were ether made-in-5-seconds awful, some else's art, or something else.
