Something unusual was happenning. Something like, magic. Uncontrolable magic...

Arendelle was in danger.

Temperature kept rising by the minute. The fjord started to boil. People were panicking at this sudden.

Power of fire...

The queen and her guards ran as fast as they could, heading to the dungeon. Knowing that the cause of the rising temperature was in there.

They reached the cell, where the traitor was. The guards kicked the door open and they went in.

The wall of the cell collapsed, caused a big hole. Burning traces were visibly seen on the edge of the collapsed wall. The queen and her guards could see the fjord. In a distance, a figure was swimming in the boiling fjord, heading to the otherside's shore.

Hans...

Elsa raised her hands and started to freeze the fjord. But when it reached him, it melted.

She knew that he had fire power when he was sent back to her kingdom, that he had a power opposite of hers. Harder to control, causes more destruction. Unlike Elsa, he was cursed by a witch.

She had to stop him. So she went down to the fjord and stepped on the frozen water she froze a moment ago. Then she ran cross the fjord like she did in the coronation day. But she didn't freeze the whole fjord nor set an eternal winter.

Hans reached the shore and ran into the forest, leaving a long burning trace behind him. Each tree he ran pass started to burn and fell down.

He looked back and saw Elsa reaching the fjord. It reminded him of the day he chased after her and they were surrounded by fog. But this time, she was chasing after him and they were surrounded by smoke. As it grew thicker, he wasn't able to see anything. He thought that she lost him.

Suddenly, a voice behind him shouted, "Hans!" He turned back and saw a blurly figure of the queen following him. "You have to control it!"

"I-I can't" Elsa could see hopelessness in his emerald-green eyes. "Hans, you can't let fear control you! Get it together, control it, with love!"

"How can I control it since no one loves me!" Elsa was hurt to hear that from a broken man, not loved by his family and was seen as a spare. She felt sorry for him.

"Then you have to love yourself." Hans looked down.

I don't even love myself.

He hated himself... He hated himself for being ignored, abused and banished. He hated himself for what he had done. He hated himself for being him.

Then the queen stepped closer. Hans immediately looked up at her movement. "W-What are you doing? Are you crazy? I could hurt you."

He cares...

"Hans you have to trust me." Elsa reached her hands. "Your power is not your enemy. Even if you're cursed but it's still a gift. You also have to love it, trust yourself that you can control it."

Hans looked at his glowing hands. "Why are you helping me? After everything I-" Elsa cut him off. "I can't let you burn the entire kingdom."

"Why don't you just kill me?" Elsa's eyes widened. He wanted to die. "Whatever you did, you don't deserve to die."

For the first time, someone doesn't want me dead.

"But the citizens, surely they want me dead"

"Look, if Arendelle's queen set her own kingdom into an eternal winter, her people almost die from the coldness. She also almost killed her sister. Citizens still let her live. Why can't the man who just tried to kill her, left her sister to death and took good care of Arendelle while its queen was gone live?" He looked down again.

She's right.

"Hans, you can do it. I trust you for this." He felt his heart warmed up. Not from his power but from her trust.

"Now give me your hand." He hesitated. Thinking of what if he hurt a woman who helped and trusted him after what he had done to her and her sister.

Then do it for her.

He reached his shaky hand. Elsa could feel the heat when their hands almost met. It does bothered her. Heat and cold, caused a steam between their hands. Each one felt the other's power.

Then they touched. Hans looked at his hands in panick. His hand was burning hot. But Elsa cooled it down.

"E-Elsa." Hans was afraid, he was still gazing at their connected hands. "Hey, look at me." Her voice was comforting him. He looked up and locked his eyes into hers.

"You can stop this." Elsa smiled a bit. Hans nodded. Then he breathed in and closed his eyes.

Calm yourself down...

The temperature decreased. Smoke and fire started to fade away. The fjord stopped boiling and the sky became clear.

Hans opened his eyes, surprised. "It's gone." A smile appeared on his face. "It's really gone!". Elsa nodded. "Ahem." She pointed at their hands as Hans was squeezing it.

"Oh.." Hans awkwardly let go of her hands. "See? You can-" Hans cut her off by hugging her. "Thank you." He said. Then Elsa hugged him back. "It's okay." She was a little surprised that the man who tried to kill her turned out hugging her.

"Now, let's get back." Hans nodded and pulled away. Elsa formed an ice chain around his wrists and said "In case you try to escape."

"I won't." Hans sighed.

She only trust me for controling my powers. Hans thought.

He finally could control his power by her. She was the only one who could calm him down. Why? She seemed to know how he feels.
