as best friends:

- it's already a miracle if your best friend is todoroki, that's not an easy thing.

- he's awkward, and may seem tense, but the poor boy just doesn't know how to handle having someone this close to him

- please be patient with him, he's still learning

- everyone thinks shouto is shy, and a quiet friend. but they're completely wrong. this guy can go feral if he has to, and he's not afraid to do it. hell, he was going to throw hands at a police officer once

- tries to observe your interest whenever you do things. will probably buy you something that you'll know you'll like

- to add on to that he will lowkey spoil you, it's his dads money who cares?

- shouto tries really hard to understand your interest, even when he's completely confused.

- shows that he cares by actions. things like offering his food, asking how you're day is, texts even though all he's saying is 'hi'

- speaking of texting, he's a dry texter. responds with "ok" and full grammar and everything. doesn't really get internet slang or a lot of memes. he sends you cat pictures though :')

- he's always there if you need them. just tell him whatever you want and he'll be there right away no matter how small.

dating headcanons

- now you've entered dating todoroki, congrats! heres some things to look out for:

- if you thought it was awkward being best friends with him, wait till the two of you start dating, it just got awkward to the max

- he's a bit stiff and just stands there most of the time, you'd have to do most of the leading in the relationship. gets the hang of it though after a couple of months

- also very still with pda. he hands sweating as he grabs your hand. the faint blush on the cheeks. avoiding eye contact. he almost looks pissed off, but he isn't, just flustered and confused

- oh you thought he spoiled you when you were friends? this guy right here is taking you out to five star dinner dates

- seriously, you almost passed out when he asked about what's your most formal attire. even offers to buy you a new outfit

- no for real, he got you a whole ass diamond necklace once and you had to refuse because you were only one month into the relationship and couldn't accept that type of gift so early into the relationship. you had to teach him on gift giving because this man means "the more expensive, the more he loves you"

- it made you feel bad because you'll give him homemade gifts meanwhile shoutos trying to give you a mansion. but don't worry, shouto loves all the gifts you give you

- first kisses are small and awkward. his lips are chapped, and he's too hesitant to kiss you. again you'll have to do all the leading

- when shouto gets used to kissing his kisses are warm and soft. they make you feel safe. expect him lightly cupping your cheeks and rubbing them with your thumbs. they weirdly make you breathless

- besides shoutos monthly fancy dinner dates, dates are casual. hell a date can just be the two of you relaxing in the den at the dorms. he prefers quiet and simple dates to start off like movie nights and walks around the city. when the two of you get deeper into the relationship, that's when you guys take it up a notch like amusement parks and beach dates.

- he doesn't say it, but he deeply cares for you. it's hard for him to say it because of the family environment he grew up in. but he's trying really hard to show his love

- when he does, it's when the two of you are relaxing into each others arms. you laying on top of shoutos chest. his fingers softing combing your hair. it's when he realized how much he liked you
