Chapter 44

2 days have passed. Shehnaaz is on complete bed rest and still has her bandage on. On the other side, Sidharth is trying his best to sort things out but she became too adamant to not give in this time.

Manvi arrives..

She is cutting an apple for Shehnaaz and makes an attempt of speaking to her regarding Sidharth.

Sidharth too joins them in a while. He sits on the couch and keeps staring at Shehnaaz with a smirk on his face.

Shehnaaz avoids him totally and keeps interacting with Manvi instead.

"Manvi..ask your friend if she will speak to me ever again?!"... says Sidharth playfully, glaring at her constantly without a break..

"Aapne hurt kyun kiya meri baby ko?! Ab bhugtoh!"... Manvi too replies in a playful manner.. 😋

"Ask her how long am I supposed to be punished??"

Manvi laughs looking at Shehnaaz, who is royally ignoring this conversation and scrolling down her mobile instead..

"Dekh dekh... kaise ignore kar rahi hai!! Sun toh rahi hai sab, baas meri baby samajhti kaam hai!"...he is still smiling, staring at her constantly..

Shehnaaz speaks up..

"Manv it seems like you are enjoying a lot! Ab tu mujhe bata..manle kal main logo k samne jake tujhe nazar andaaz kardun, even considering the fact that you are my best friend, my soul sister! How the fuck would you feel?!"...she raises her tone after two days..

Manvi gets stumped on her question but manages to answer her..
"I would feel horrible! I wouldn't speak to you for a good while but at the end of the day I would still have faith on the bond we share and I will not let this affect my priceless friendship with you!" 👏👏

"Maine bhi kabhi affect nehi hone diya! Lekin jo mera hai, woh mera hi hain! Aur agar duniya k samne apna nese itna darr hain, toh kyun kiya hain propose?! Nehi karna chahiye tha na!?!"... Shehnaaz looks at her face having tears clogged in her eyes..

"Sanu!! No baby!"...Manvi tries to hold her..

"Manv I am hurt! I am hurt!! Not because of this cut! But because of something that has pierced my heart! I can't forget the way he ignored me!!"

Sidharth loses it now..!! He walks upto her, Manvi tries to stop him but he loses it completely now!! So he sits next to her..

"Toh aur kya karta main? What did you expect me to do?! Huh?! Sun meri baat!! Do din se samjha raha hoon, lekin zid pakad k baithi hui hai na.. toh ab listen to me carefully..!"

"Sidharth...!! Abhi nehi please..! Cool down..!"... Manvi intervenes..

"Nehi rukh ja Manv..!! Bohot ho gaya! She needs to get a reality check now!"... He looks back at her..."Idhar dekho and get it straight into your brain..! I am not one of those people who would announce his love in public! I don't fucking show off and you know it very well Shehnaaz! This is my life, not a TV show and I don't want people to make unnecessary speculations! Main manta hoon us wakt mujhe atleast tere sath hona chahiye tha and I said sorry to you for that! Multiple times! I have been trying to coax you since the last 48 hours!! What are you up to now?! Bata...?!"

Shehnaaz looks at him in disbelief!!

"Kya dekh rahi ho?! Dimaag na ghum gaya hai mera!! Did we make it official in public?! Nehi na?! Then why do you even expect me to do such things in public?! News mein aana hai? Any publicity is a good publicity strategy khelna hai baby?!"

She was just listening to him with all her patience but now she is not being able to take it anymore...! She pushes him back harshly..."Back off!! Khabardar jo mere paas bhi aaye toh! Nehi chahiye mujhe aisa fake love!"
