Chapter 6: Will

It's been a week since that argument and Katie is still healing but she's doing okay. Abbey came out of her tent but she still wouldn't talk much. The feud in between Cher and Kaiden was over so it was getting better to say the least.

They were all currently eating breakfast, about to get ready to move more south, hoping to find a new realm to add on the map. Sandi and Todd agreed to make the route so everyone else parted so they could concentrate.

"What do you think is down south?" Stanley asked his brunette friend.

"I don't know. Maybe a huge field or something, forest or possibly, new realm." Kaiden smirked.

"Excited to travel aren't you?"

"I've been waiting for this since forever. Training hard everyday so yeah. Of course I'm excited."

"So... What's with that theory you have? You know... The one with Katie?" Kaiden grew dark in the face, vowing to never speak of that again, he hung his head low. Stanley was confused so he poked him, hoping that would get him out of the trance.

"Well... Erm... I'm not supposed to talk about it. Because of Abbey and Cher. Sandi also made me promise her to not speak of it."

"I don't get it really, how did you even think of that? I mean, you should've just asked Molly or Cher to set up a trap or something." Stanley suggested, not dropping the subject.

"No! She would never trust us again if my hunch was wrong!" Stanley sighed as they continued to pack their things, ready to roll up the tent.

"Hey Kaiden?"

"Hmm?"

"I was gonna go get more herbs for Katie, wanna come with me?"

"Why do I need to come again?"

"Not best fighter and I need someone to tell everyone else I died." Kaiden laughed when Stanley mentioned the last part. So when they finished packing, they told Angus they were gonna leave and come back and now they were in the forest.

"What were we looking for again?" Kaiden asked the ravenette who was joyously sitting down and picking random things from the ground,

"Herbs. And it's not 'we', you're just here to protect me." Stanley turned to Kaiden.

"...That sounded weird but alright. I don't get why I'd need to protect you though, you're smart enough to avoid danger." Stanley took in a sharp breath. It was always like that, he never needed help he could do it himself.

"Please... Don't mention that again. I'm triggered... But if something attacks me, I'm not always paying attention while picking herbs so... It's good to have an extra pair of eyes you know?"

"Yeah... I guess so... You done yet?"

"Yeah, let's go-" And he was knocked out.

Kaiden looked shocked before pulling out his sword, ready to kill whoever did that. Looking all around him, he saw nothing, except for... A silhouette in the shadows.

Kaiden eyed it carefully until it went away. Sighing, he looked over at Stanley.

"Looks like I'll need to carry you back." He said to himself, attempting to pick up the healer.

Walking a few steps, he tripped over a root (how cliché), falling forwards, hitting his head on the impact.

Darkness.

"Parsley and Sage." Kaiden's eyes opened to see a pair or brown eyes staring back at him.

"What the hell?!" He pushed the figure back, sitting up. Only to receive a pain in the back of his head. How did that- oh yeah, he was knocked out like Stan- wait... Where's Stanley?

"Stanley? Hello?" Looking around, he saw that he was in a cave. The only thing visible was the cave entrance and a boy who was sitting in the corner.

"Who are you?" Waiting for a response, he knew that it wasn't Stanley.

"Parsley and Sage." The boy murmured.

"Excuse me?"

"Parsley and Sage." He said a little louder making Kaiden confused.

"Are you saying... Parsley... And Sage?" Who was Sage? When did parsley get into this?

"Parsley and Sage, parsley and Sage, parsley and Sage!" The boy kept on chanting the same line over and over again.

"Are you okay? What's your name?" Kaiden tried to get him to say something.

"Dragons! Killed! Silverstone! Kill Sage! Revenge! Revenge!" The boy started to run around the cave, screaming random words.

"Woah! Calm down!" The brunette tried to grab hold of him but the boy was too fast. Jumping on top of him, causing Kaiden to collapse.

"Ow... Ugh, what is wrong with you exactly?"

"Ran away. Riders. Kill Ally. Obsidian fight us. Revenge. Vengeance. I run too. Fell down. Hit head. Lose Sage. Parsley and Sage!" Poor kid, he became insane probably from what happened to him. Falling down and having someone named 'Obsidian' fight him.

He leaned against a wall, closing his eyes. Kaiden wish Stanley was here, he would know what to do... And where to go...
