The run.

Glenn's POV.

I was at the farm helping rebuild the fence when Rick approached me, "Hey Glenn,"

"Hey what's up?" I question him with a smile.

"Look Hurshel is running out of medical supplies and he needs more. Do you think you can take the car into town and get some more?" He asked with a some what of a worried face. "The last time we went there it had a bunch of walkers so be careful."

"I will. When have I gotten into trouble when going on runs?" I said with a slight laugh. All Rick did was give me a serious face, "OK got it, I'll leave right now. As I walked up to the car Maggie came up to me running. "Where are you going?" She was breathing hard since she ran from the back of the house. I could see a hint of worry, scared and anger in her eyes.

"Am going into town to get some things for your dad, I'll be back in about an hour." I told her while grabbing her hands.

"I'm coming with you. I don't want you to go alone, what if something happens to you, I couldn't liv-" I cut her off,

"Nothing will happen I promise, besides you will just slow me down and Hurshel will be pissed if I took you. I'll be back in a hour." And with that I pulled out of the long driveway and started to drive into town.

The windows were down and the wind was nice and cool, I felt and looked as if nothing in the world has changed, its nice to know  there is some beauty left in the world and when you see it you just gotta take it in. When I came upon the little town I went to the little corner store and went inside. Today was a nice day, not too hot not too cold, so I started to hum. I was humming and walking up and down the aisles and I could hear riesling coming from my left. I started to walk over and I saw a girl maybe 19 and she was heading to the door. "Put down your weapons," was the first thing I said. She looked harmless but I didn't want to take a chance. She look like she hasn't eaten or anything, it was bad. She looked just as scared as me, she put down her stuff and looked to the floor. "Do you have any other weapons on you?"

She nooded and said, "I have a knife in my boot and a gun with about 3 other knives in my bag."

"Can you remove the knife and hand me the bag?" I reached out my hand and she gave it to me, "My name is Glenn." I said with a smile. She introduce herself and Alison, "well Alison, do you have a group or any where to stay?" I couldn't just leave her out here, she is so young. I know that everyone might not be pleased but they should get over it, right?

"No I don't," she said. She looked at the floor and she had sad eyes. I thought for a minute and decided to say, "Well I have a group if you would like to come, looks like you haven't eaten in a while. I can bring you back but you might get some stares at first, and I will have to talk to Rick, the leader, and see if you can stay. So would you like to come?"

She shot her head up to look at me, she had the biggest smile on her face, bigger then Maggie's. "Yes please, thank you so much" I walked out with her behind me and she went to the front while I loaded the car. "Here," I gave her, her weapons back and she just stared at me. "You don't look like you would hurt a fly, but when we get back to the farm we will have to take them," I said with a frown. She looked at my with thankful eyes and we drove off. When we came to the farm I turned and saw she was asleep. I shook her shoulder and she jumped awake, "I'm sorry I don't mean to scare you, we're here" I said with a smile and pointed to the farm. She looked out at the farm and smiled
