"should we wait for jay hyung?" jungwon asked
"yeah he is coming in 5 mins"
"I thought you guys were supposed to be coming together" jungwon raised his eyebrows
sunghoon got a little flustered
"uhm.. something came up so I left early...I told him to pick up my gift as well..."
jungwon was still kind of suspicious but he didn't ask further..
they were waiting in front of heeseung's house.. it was pretty late.. jungwon was yawning once in a while too.. sunghoon felt bad about it.. jungwon was the youngest among them.
"wonie are you tired?"
jungwon quickly shook his head
"Nope!! not at all!"
"I am just wondering why is jay hyung so late"
Sunghoon wanted tease him about it but he felt bad for the poor kid...
Yeah ..He does baby him a lot...but it's not his fault that jungwon is literally the cutest fluffball...
soon a car stopped in front of them.
"there he is.." sunghoon said
the door opened revealing a very annoyed and frustrated jay....
"ya why did you leave without telling me?"
Sunghoon knew that's coming,he kinda deserved it truth to be told.. He
quickly apologized, giving a sheepish smile
"I am really sorry"
"did you find the gift?"
jay shoved the package to him...
"of course I did.... "
"but don't you ever do it again...thank god there was this person who found it..and took care of it"
"jungwon can you please bring the cake from my car? you know I had to stop by the cake shop as well...hoon I thought you were gonna help...what the hell??"
sunghoon didn't know what to say.
he thought he was gonna help too.. he didn't realise when he blanked out for a second.
" Hey? " jay gave him a little shove, now he looked at him concerned...
" you okay?...did something happen?"
" yeah I asked him too.." jungwon joined
sunghoon quickly gave them a big smile...
" I am fine!! I am just worried about if heeseung hyung will like the present or not.."
jay rolled his eyes " sunghoon if you are gonna lie...do it properly"
"anyways we will talk about it later... let's go "
"yup" jungwon nodded
" but what if he is asleep though?"
"it's heeseungie hyung...you know he doesn't sleep this early.."
sunghoon chuckled " he is probably at his phone still waiting for our wishes "
they walked to the apartment laughing.. jay gave them a warning to shut up.. He didn't want to ruin the plan..sunghoon was the first one to reach,he rang the doorbell excitedly..
And the door soon opened..and sunghoon froze yet again...
His shoulder fell.
'why is he here?'
the other guy gave a soft smile
"yes ? how can I help you? I didn't think we will meet again.."
sunghoon blinked twice,
"I.. I think I got the wrong house...sorry" he awkwardly smiled and was about to leave when he saw jay and jungwon also coming..
"hoon where are you going?"
"it's definitely a wrong address"
jay was confused.
"what do you mean? heeseung hyung been living here for ages now ..did you forget or what??"
"oh you are looking for heeseung hyung?" The guy peeked outside curiously.
"come in he is inside.."
"But who are you?" sunghoon was still sceptical
"I am his cousin,jake..." he gave a wide smile
'jake he said'
jay seemed surprised as well
"wait..aren't you the guy from the shop? thanks for helping me before"
Jake quickly shook his head
"no no it's fine, I just found it and your friend also didn't look -"
sunghoon's eyes widened immediately
Jake probably noticed it also so he quickly stopped midway..
"- I mean I think he had some work so he had to go ...."
jay nodded understandingly.
sunghoon didn't look at jake.
'what is this scary coincidence? how does he even has the same name?'
jay pulled his arm
"sunghoon if you want to stand there in the cold forever go ahead...we are going inside."
"no I am coming" sunghoon just threw away his bundle of thoughts
As expected heeseung was pleasantly surprised to see them. He really didn't think they would come.
"what are you guys doing this late here?"
"SURPRISE!"
jungwon grinned, bringing out the cake.
they looked at each other before starting the countdown.
"3....2....1... HAPPY BIRTHDAY HEESEUNGIE HYUNG!!!"
the small cheer and laughter echoed the room. it was only few people but it felt really really warm...Heeseung was overwhelmed by everything...jake was standing at a corner, also smiling a little bit.
"you guys are really the best..I swear..."
heeseung came forward bringing them into a hug
jay tried to look unamused, rubbing the older one's shoulder...
"yeah yeah we know..now blow the candles and cut it already..."
It was all fun and happy.. everybody was enjoying... everybody except sunghoon..
No Sunghoon wanted to enjoy too...but he couldn't stop thinking about the familiar yet unfamiliar presence at the room..
It felt very unsettling.
He quickly glanced at him..
Jake was at the opposite side of the room , arms crossed... He was looking at heeseung fondly...which definitely says that he loves his cousin alot...
"Why does he has such a stupidly sweet smile on his face.."
Sunghoon snickered...he was annoyed... very annoyed..
