About a month ago I received an email that I had got in to a special assassins academy. Every group is assigned a house that fits 7 people. I've only ever seen pictures of my "competition".
Now it was about 3:40 in the morning and I just said goodbye to my brother. My parents died when i was 12 so my older brother Josh raised me.
I taught myself how to fight and shoot when i was about 14, I knew i would be going to high school soon and i had been bullied for a long time. Lets just say i got my life together the summer before sophomore year.
As im lost in thought i see myself pulling up into the house. I look at the time, it's almost 5. "Shit, im late"
What a great first impression Adalyn, i thought to myself.
I hurry and grab my bags not even noticing the amenities of the house. "Beautiful" I say under my breath.
Before im able to open the door,
someone opens it for me.
"Oh hey, sorry didnt see you" the handsome stranger says.
"Yeah no its my fault, i should've watched where i was going" I say
He looks at a list.. "Adalyn?" He says.
"Yup thats me, late as always" I say embarrassed
"No worries" he chuckles, "Im Landon by the way"
"Nice to meet you landon" I smile
"Well, lets go introduce you to everyone" He says.
As we walk into the living room I feel all eyes on me, i hate having the attention on me.
"Hey guys, im Adalyn"
As soon as i say that a girl comes up to me.
" YES! Another girl!"
Another girl comes from behind her "Sorry shes just a bit excited, Im lana and thats ember"
"Nice to meet you" I say
While scanning the room i only see 6 people.
"Are we missing one?" I say
"Um yes, we are missing lylian" Landon says
"Oh okay" is all i manage to say, someone's caught my eye. He's just looking at me, not saying a word to anyone. I remember him from the pictures, Liam.
