Chapter 3

Aditi's POV
After the whole day, I went to my room for good night sleep. laying down on the bed I was thinking about how my life changed in my college.

It was a new day. A very special day for me. It was my college's first day. I got admission in DTU after clearing my JEE Mains exams. I must say two years of hardship was worth it.
With all the new happiness I am quite scared also. Like I don't know anyone there. Man thinking about this makes me nervous.
"Aditi!!!" My mom shouted from downstairs.
"Aschi," I answered

"Come beta, sit and have your breakfast. Today is your first day of college. Now listen to me carefully. Don't go anywhere near the bad groups. Stay clear of them at all times. If anyone misbehaves with you, go and report it to the administrative. And-" My sweet mom rambled
"Maaaaa, I get it. I will take care of myself. Will try to stay out of trouble. And it's not a school that teachers will listen to your complaint. It's college. They will only care if it's a huge problem. Don't worry I will take care of myself. And maa I am done. I need to leave now or I will be late." I said standing up and took my plate to the kitchen keeping in the washbasin.
I cleaned my hands and went to my suitcase. Yes, a suitcase. well, my home is quite afar from college so I need to stay in the hostel. That would explain my mom's overprotectiveness.
I took my suitcase and my handbag and went to the door.
" Dara Dara Dara." My mom called
(wait wait wait)
"Now what mom," I said
" Eat this. Dahi cheeni." My mom said and made me eat a spoonful of curd and sugar. (Dahi Cheeni means curd and sugar. Indians eat it before starting any good work as a sign of good luck.)
"Maaa done. Now can I go?" I asked
"Yes. And take care beta." My mom said lovingly caressing my cheeks.
"Love you maa. And say I love you to papa too." I said hugging her.
I went out to my cab with my luggage and here we come DTU........
Once reached I went to the dean's office to get my hostel room keys.
I already got my schedule for this semester.
"Hello, Aditi. I hope you didn't find any problems while reaching here?" the Dean asked
"No mam," I answered smiling sweetly.
"Good. Come let me give you your rooms keys. It's room no. 201. Your roommate is already there." She said handing me a set of keys.
"Thank you, mam," I said
I went to the dorm rooms and started looking for my room.
"Newbie huh," A girl said.
"Ummmm yeah," I replied.
"So what's your subject?" She asked
"Mathematics and computing," I said
"Intelligent girl huh." She said
"Go and keep your luggage. Will see your intelligence soon," she said.
I was just thinking damn. Please god, help me. I prayed
I found my room and went inside only to see a girl arranging her clothes wearing a bra and shorts only. Thank god. I was thinking I will get a roommate who is a stereotypical Indian girl.
"Hey. You Aditi?" she asked.
"Yup," I replied and came inside the room keeping my luggage at my side if room.
"I am Neha. Neha Negi." She said and forward her hand for shaking.
We shook hands
"Hey, by the way, don't judge I stay like this indoors," she said and went back to arranging her clothes.
"Don't worry I stay like this too," I said and winked at her.
I went to sit at the single bed that is gonna be my bed.
"Well, I met a few girls outside. Do you know who are they?" I asked
"Oh, they. They are Divya and Sonali. They are the seniors. But don't worry I will introduce you to them so they will not disturb you. " She said
"How do you know them?" I asked
"Oh, I am second-year mechanical. I am friends with them. That's why." She said laughing slightly.
Well, that would explain her familiarity with everything around. She is walking around like she is familiar with everything.
"Last year I didn't have a roommate. But since this year I have you, I gotta shift all my stuff to one side." She said
I was sitting there listening to her ramble.
"You are a nice girl. so I will give you a tour of this college today and tomorrow we meet with my friends. And I will explain to you how everything goes around here." She said wearing a top now.
"Sounds like a plan." I smiled at her.
"Let's go then?" She asked
"Let's go," I said.

Neha, Divya and Sonali were my true friends in the whole college.
They helped me get over him. They were always there for me. Even now they are for me. They are really happy with the news of my marriage.
I smiled. That was a few of the nice days of my college. That was a few of the drama-free days of my college life. I did exactly what my mum told me not to do. Went with the bad boy.
Oh, how stupid I was now I am realising. Only if I realised it earlier, today I won't have to be heartbroken.
But now what's done is done. Now I am going to start a new life with Aashim. I should forget the past and move forward now. Yes that I will do
With this determination, I went to sleep.
Little did I know that my past is here to create yet another havoc in my life.
