Chapter 3 ~ Nightmares

Y/n POV

When I wake up the next day Joe is gone. I start to get ready for school. I put on my regular clothes and grab my backpack. I notice the lightning bolt pin on my nightstand before I leave. How come he didn't take it? Maybe... Maybe I could wear it, just for today.

I put the pin it my hair and look in the mirror, it's not half bad! I check the time. OH MY GOSH I HAVE FIVE MINUTES TILL THE TRAIN GETS TO THE STATION I HAVE TO G O.

I run out of my apartment and barely make it to the train. I know Kanna said I shouldn't summon Joe much, but... I really wanna see him! I'm excited! It's been a long time since I've been this awake!

I head to my coffee shop job after school. Nothing really interesting happened today.

When I get home I decide that tonight I'll try sleeping without summoning Joe and get started on homework.

What feels like a few hours later I finally finish. I look over at the clock. It's 1:15. I should get to bed. I get ready for bed and then hop in. I almost immediately fall asleep.

Our hopes...!! I... am satisfied." he says holding up his arms. He... he got voted out...

###... ###... I will... I WILL AVENGE YOU BOTH! I pick up ###'s frying pan from the floor and hit ##### on the head.

"YOU SICK BITCH!" I yell as I tug on her brown locks. I sock her in the face, but at the push of a button, Something is injected inside my from my collar. I feel like fire is coursing through my veins. I crumble to the floor and let go of #####. I'm burning from the inside out-

The dream suddenly dissapeared. I bolt up awake screaming, clawing at my skin in a cold sweat. I look over and see Joe.

"I watched you from where I live, you summoned me in your sleep," He says before putting the tea cup to his lips.

"That dream... was delicious," he says licking his lips.

"I wanna know what it was..." I say looking at my hand.

"You'll find out," He says. He takes off his coat and gloves and hops into bed, then we go back to sleep.
